Maserati Levante Hybrid Arrives In The Philippines

After a year since its global reveal, Modena Motorsports, Inc., the official distributor of Maserati in the Philippines announces its arrival locally.

The Levante Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged motor married to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It may not be able to propel the luxury SUV on electric power alone, but it does help to keep its weight down. It weighs less than any of the conventionally powered 6-cylinder variants of the Levante, be it gasoline or diesel. Furthermore, it improves overall weight distribution, and the battery pack doesn’t compromise on its cargo space.

The mild-hybrid system means it can recover energy during deceleration and braking, but it can also act as sort of a booster. With that, the Levante Hybrid offers a combined 330 horsepower. Peak torque is at 450 Nm delivered from just 2,250 rpm. 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 6 seconds, while top speed is pegged at 240 km/h. By comparison, the Levante Hybrid is actually faster the diesel-powered version.

The exterior and interior details contribute to this car’s immediately recognizable design: some are in blue, the shade chosen to identify hybrid cars, already used by Maserati on the Ghibli Hybrid. These include blue accents on the side air ducts, the brake calipers, the C-pillar logo. The same blue shade re-appears inside the car, specifically on the seams of the seats.

The Levante Hybrid also debuts the Maserati Connect—an app-based system which alerts customers on the status of the vehicle as well as when service is due.

The 2022 Levante Hybrid is now available for orders with pricing starting at P 8.8 million.

  1. For the price range, I believe it's better to get a Porsche Taycan or Audi e-tron GT.
