Hyundai PH Opens Order Books For 2023 Stargazer; Prices Start At P 998K

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) declares the arrival of its MPV segment contender, the Stargazer. The said model, which made its first debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Jakarta last August, is making its way to authorized dealerships in the country by November 8. HMPH, only the second distributor to offer the Stargazer, is now opening the opportunity for pre-booking. Check out the full Philippine specs here.

Available in three Smartstream IVT-powered variants (1.5 GL, 1.5 GLS and 1.5 GLS Premium) and an introductory retail price of P 998,000 for its base. The Stargazer is the futuristic and smart 7-seater that is ready to elevate the driving experience of its owners:

Revolutionary Styling

Shows off a futuristic look that exudes dynamic and expressive characteristics as seen in the horizontal LED daytime running lights (DRL) and positioning lamps in front as well as the unique H-shaped lights in the rear. Its sleek one curve silhouette not only optimizes cabin height but also improves aerodynamics which enable a smoother ride and better fuel efficiency.

Premium and Spacious Interior

Capable of accommodating 7 adult passengers with ease because of its largest-in-class wheelbase. This translates to roomier interior space in the 2nd and 3rd row on top of its flexible seat configurations. Complimented by a variety of multifunctional storage spaces such as the hidden dashboard tray, seatback table and headrest bag hook.

Safe and Worry-Free Drive

Built to provide confidence and peace of mind, it is equipped with Hyundai Smart Sense, the brand’s advanced driver assistance system. This includes, but not limited to, collision avoidance, blind spot detection, tire pressure monitoring and rear occupant alert. Furthermore, it carries a host of intuitive features like the 4.2-inch TFT LCD cluster that is synced with every drive mode along with the infotainment system that is Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatible.

“The share in the market of MPVs continues to increase year-on-year. And along with this growth are the evolving considerations when choosing the right one. As a brand, our focus on humanity is driven by our commitment to understand what people want in life so we can offer them an ownership journey that is meaningful and rewarding. Which is why Hyundai Motor is bringing in the Stargazer as it is not just a head-turner, but a game-changer”, said Mr. Cecil Capacete, Managing Director of HMPH. “With the Stargazer we wish to set a new benchmark in its segment. We recognize the emergence of the modern lifestyle and needs among Filipino families. And we intend to address these through our future-oriented design, top-of-class advanced safety and technological systems and unmatched driver and passenger comfort.”

  1. The interior doesn't look premium to me. But then again, considering the price.

    1. The only thing I don't like is how they integrated the infotainment system and the digital gauge cluster together. The designers wanted to make it look like the integrated dual-screen set-up Hyundai has on higher-end models yet all that bezel makes the car look cheap even on GLS Premium spec imho. Also, we don't get auto climate controls so that makes the interior seem cheaper.

    2. Its better than those uneven 2000's China car-like interior plastics of Avanza and Veloz 🤣

    3. Yup, the infotainment dashboard looks like the last minute addition to the MPV after leaving the assembly line. (Boss we forgot to put the info system. No need to remove the dashboard just installed it on top of it :)

    1. Let the great battle of mpv's begin! I think stargazer's IVT is the best transmission...but i will bet it would be the avanza/veloz that will laugh its way to the bank. Of course thanks to taxi fleet

  6. Unbelievable they put Smart Sense in this entry-level MPV but not in the Creta, Tucson & Santa Fe.

    1. If am not mistaken, Stargazer and creta were sourced from indonesia which enjoy AFTA. Top of the line creta has adas, tucson and sta fe were source from korea which has higher tax, maybe they removed adas to be priced competitive

    2. That is correct. Creta has Hyundai SmartSense too (TOTL).
