Toyota Motor PH Increases Prices Of Hilux, Corolla Cross

It looks like a lot of pickup trucks are seeing price adjustments this month. After Mitsubishi bumped up the prices of its Strada and Nissan with its Navara, Toyota Motor Philippines is doing just the same with its Hilux.

Starting January, the Hilux (save for the fleet-oriented variants such as the Hilux Cab & Chassis and Hilux E) has seen a P 18,000 increase. Per Toyota, the increase is down to a new installed Local Data Communication Module or LDCM.

The LDCM system enables the Hilux (as well as the Fortuner, RAV4, and select Hiace variants) to gain access to the myToyota Connect system. With myToyota Connect, users can access a wealth of information including vehicle status, and driving information such as daily trip summaries. It can also be used to track the vehicle and offer on-the-dot reminders for PMS.

Aside from these services, myToyota Connect also comes with the Connected Toyota Insure, with AXA Philippines as its exclusive insurance provider. This is the first PHYD (Pay How You Drive) insurance product that takes advantage of driving behavior and mileage captured from the connected vehicles to determine good drivers and have them benefit from a reduced renewal premium.

Check out how much the 2023 Hilux costs now, or you can check out the full Car Price Guide for the latest and most up-to-date car prices:

  • Toyota Hilux GR-S 4x4 AT – P 2,057,000 (from P 2,039,000)
Aside from the Hilux, Toyota has also increased the prices of its best-selling Corolla Cross compact crossover.

Thankfully, the price increase comes with more features for 2023. Standard across the Corolla Cross range now is a drive recorder, while the 1.8 V HEV gets a wireless device charger. Meanwhile, the 1.8 GR-S HEV gets most of the updates bringing features such as roof rails, a larger infotainment screen (9-inch), wireless Apple CarPlay, and a sunroof.

Check out the new prices of the 2023 Corolla Cross below:
  • Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 G AT – P 1,318,000 (from P 1,303,000)
  • Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 V HEV AT – P 1,680,000 (from P 1,665,000)
  • Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 GR-S HEV AT – P 1,844,000 (from P 1,774,000)
Also, Toyota Motor Philippines has axed the Corolla Altis 1.8 V HEV for 2023. That means buyers who want a gasoline-hybrid compact sedan will have to fork out for the Corolla Altis GR-S HEV which costs P 1,665,000. There’s also a non-hybrid version of the Corolla Altis GR-S and that one is priced at P 1,302,000.
