The most striking change is done to the front where the brand’s trademark V-motion grille which is bigger and more aggressive than before. Of course, this next-generation V-motion grille necessitated reshaping the front bumper too. The 2023 Almera also dons the new Nissan logos (also found inside) and refreshed alloy wheels. Inside, the 2023 Almera replaces the two-tone black and white motif for a more subtle black and blue one. Also new is the Nissan Connect Services. The Nissan Connect Services allows users to control certain aspects of the car using a smartphone. It’s also the first sub-compact in Thailand to offer emergency calling via a dedicated button on the overhead console. Other added features include wireless device charging and heat reflecting seats called Quole Modure.

In terms of powertrain, the Almera continues with a carryover engine. The HRA0 1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder still makes 100 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 152 Nm of torque from 2,400 to 4,000 rpm. The only change for 2023 is the addition of cruise control.

Safety-wise, the Almera finally gets a full suite of 6 SRS airbags as standard as well as a couple of advanced driver assist tech such as forward collision warning with emergency braking, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert. New for 2023 are tire pressure sensors, lane departure warning, and high-beam assist.
