Chery Auto PH Prices Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid At P 1.350M

After previewing it at the Manila International Auto Show last April, Chery Auto Philippines is finally ready to release the hybrid version of its Tiggo 7 Pro compact SUV.

Set for a formal market launch within the next few weeks, the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid is priced at just P 1,350,000.

The Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid packs a 48-volt mild hybrid system that replaces the traditional alternator with a belt-driven starter generator or BSG. Apart from recovering kinetic energy during braking and storing it in a lithium-ion battery, the BSG is also used to assist the internal combustion engine at full load.

According to Chery Auto Philippines’ estimates, the hybrid system results in a 14 percent reduction in CO2 emissions and a 13 percent improvement in fuel efficiency. The Chery hybrid system comes with an idle start-stop system that turns off the engine such as coasting to a dead stop. As a bonus, the system also delivers additional power—10 horsepower and 40 Nm to assist the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine. This equates to 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The gearbox remains a CVT with nine virtual gears.

Compared to the internal combustion version of the Tiggo 7 Pro, the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid gains a new alloy wheel design. In terms of features, it gets a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, a power tailgate, wireless device charging, interior ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof. For safety, highlights are its 6 SRS airbags and a 360-degree around view monitor.

Authorized Chery Auto dealerships nationwide are already taking in inquiries on the new Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid.

  1. So this Makes 7 Pro a MHEV not HEV due to the use of 48V BSG, much like those in Geely's.

    1. The general term is still Hybrid or if you prefer, Hybrid Electric Vehicle. But specifically, it's a MHEV or Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle.

    1. They haven't made that public yet, but if Chery Auto PH did register this as a hybrid (like Suzuki, Toyota, and even Mazda), then it should be exempted from coding.

  5. How much is the 48 V battery when it finally gets depleted?
