Electric Vehicle Association Supports Dongfeng EV's Philippine Arrival


The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) has thrown its support behind new commercial vehicle EV player, Diamond Auto EV Corporation. Diamond Auto EV Corporation is the official importer and distributor of Dongfeng commercial EVs.

With climate change and environmental concerns looming large, the global automotive industry is experiencing a significant shift towards greener and more sustainable transportation solutions. Diamond EV Corporation’s innovative and diverse range of EV models demonstrates the continuous progress being made in this transformative industry says EVAP in a statement.

EVAP Chairman Emeritus Ferdi Rquelsantos expressed his enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We, at EVAP, are thrilled to witness the strides that Diamond EV Corporation is making in the electric vehicle sector. The introduction of their latest EV models will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the advancement of sustainable transportation in our country.”

Chairman Rommel Juan emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sector and associations like EVAP in driving EV adoption, “Diamond EV Corporation’s initiative aligns with our goal to bring together industry players, government agencies, and consumers to foster an EV ecosystem that is accessible, reliable, and environmentally responsible.”

President Edmund Araga further reiterated the association’s commitment to supporting innovative ventures like Diamond EV Corporation: “EVAP remains steadfast in our efforts to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles as a means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote a cleaner environment. We firmly believe that partnerships with forward-thinking companies like Diamond EV Corporation will accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation.”

Diamond Auto EV Corporation will publicly launch the brand as well as a slew of more models at the upcoming EV Summit. Spearheaded by the EVAP, it will take place from October 19 to 21 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

  1. The Association should look into protecting buyers, such warranties for the battery. At what State of Health will the battery be covered for replacement before the warranty expires.
