The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) officially launches the KG Mobility (KGM) brand in the Philippines. The Korean SUV specialist, formerly known as SsangYong Motor, arrives in the country with a five-vehicle opening salvo: the KG Tivoli, the KG Tivoli Prime, the KG Torres, the KG Rexton, and the KG Musso Grand. This line-up allows KGM to compete in three of the five largest segments in the Philippine industry, sales-wise.
The entire line-up comes with a 5-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first), 24/7 roadside assistance, and a promise of an affordable cost-of-ownership package with ready access to spare parts and dedicated expert servicing under the KG Mobility Solutions aftersales program. The prices indicated herein are the introductory cash prices. The prices in parenthesis are the suggested retail prices.
The line-up starts with the KGM Tivoli. The Tivoli comes powered by a 1.6-liter normally-aspirated gasoline engine producing 128 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque. This is then mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
The larger-for-its-size Tivoli comes packing features such as a 10.25-inch TFT color LCD cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smart keyless entry, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and parking sensors for both front and back.

Moving up, there’s the Tivoli Grand. Based on the Tivoli sub-compact SUV, the Tivoli Grand grows its length to 4,480 mm—matching some compact crossovers in the process. The added 238 mm length provides a class-leading 1,440 liters of storage (with the rear seats folded down). Furthermore, the rear seats can be reclined up to 32.5 degrees for additional comfort.
Like the Tivoli, the Tivoli Grand is powered by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine but mated solely to a 6-speed automatic. Features include LED headlights, the same 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and 8-inch infotainment system, as well as animal-friendly stain-proof leather-style upholstery, smart keyless entry, and more.

The newest nameplate in the KGM line-up, the Torres is their compact crossover competitor. Shortlisted as a 2024 World Car of the Year, it’s named after the Torres Del Paine. As such, it has exploration in mind with its bold, expressive design. The six vertical “castellations” in the grille give it a robust look, while LED headlights give a toughened expression.
Power comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder with 163 horsepower and 280 Nm. This is then mated to a 6-speed Aisin automatic gearbox powering either the front or all four wheels. The Torres is adventure-ready with its 1.5-ton towing capacity and ample ground clearance.
Inside, the Torres has ventilated/heated front seats, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a 12.5-inch digital gauge cluster, and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A second 8-inch touchscreen controls the dual zone climate control as well as the Multi-Drive Mode System. It’s also equipped with leading ADAS functionality giving it Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), High Beam Assist (HBA), Forward Vehicle Start Alert (FVSA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Driver Attention Alert (DAA) on top of 8 SRS airbags and Safe Distance Alert (SDA).

For families who need a mid-sized SUV that’s both form and function, there the Rexton 7-seater. KGM’s flagship SUV, it is the culmination of the Korean SUV specialist’s almost 70 years of specialization and experience in highly capable off-roaders and 4x4s.
The Rexton comes with a 2.2-liter CRDi engine putting out 202 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque. This allows it to achieve up to 3.5 tons of braked towing capacity. Furthermore, its large body allows seven adults to sit in comfort, but with the second and third row seats down, the space grows to 1,977 liters—more than enough to accommodate adventure essentials.
Features include LED headlights and fog lights, 20-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch smart audio infotainment system, dual zone climate control, wireless charging, and more.
Among the Rexton’s host of safety systems, it has auto on/off headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, an electrochromic rearview mirror, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB,) Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS,) Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA,) Front Vehicle Start Alarm (FVSA,) Driver Attention Alert (DAA,) Safety Distance Alert (SDA,) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) just to name a few.

Finally, there’s the Musso Grand, KGM’s mid-sized pickup truck. Based on the Rexton, the Musso Grand carries a more rugged aesthetic with its high-set character lines. Exterior features include 20-inch alloy wheels, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, and functional roof rails for additional cargo.
The Quad Frame chassis makes its ready for the toughest of tasks. This is backed up by the large 1,262-liter pickup bed and a maximum braked towing capacity of 3.5 tons. Like the Musso, it’s powered by a 2.2-liter CRDi, but rated at 187 horsepower and 420 Nm. It comes in either manual or automatic transmission variants.
Enhancing passenger comfort, the Musso Grand has a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster, a 12.3-inch smart audio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, a full suite of airbags, and safety features that include: auto on/off headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, an electrochromic rearview mirror, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS,) Blind Spot Warning System (BSW,) Lane Change Warning (LCW,) Rear Cross-Traffic Warning (RCTW,) and Safe Exit Warning (SEW).

DeleteThis is the 3rd attempt of relaunching the brand right? Quality isn't an issue for this vehicles that's for sure, it's the fear of the would-be buyers on aftersales support like its previous bankruptcy issues, then there's poor marketing.. i hope this brand goes well this time. It really has the potential specially the tivoli. I just don't know with the torres and rexton, kinda op for what it offers.

As for dealers, the first one is on EDSA Greenhills (where Chevrolet is). This will likely be a shared showroom.

TCCCI is really good at marketing so KGM is gonna be a huge success in the local market
