  2. Owning this brand in the Philippines is a bad idea. Only those with little to no knowledge a.k.a. noobs, will consider a Peugeot.

I think it could be deeply sensible that while Ford may find partnering with Hyundai useful, but due to the latter's country of origin (South Korea) having a deeper nationalistic sensibility, Ford could rather partner with Stellantis (which contains Peugeot but also Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep) so that Ford could also use Peugeot's technology to lessen its (Ford's) dependence on the Ranger and trucks (to which Australians know it as utes) since Ford already discontinued the Focus in Southeast Asia a decade ago...
