Zeekr Coming To Philippines Via Autohub Group

The Autohub Group may be scaling back on its Geely-branded dealership operations in the Philippines, but that doesn’t mean that they’re giving put on products made by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. It has been confirmed that Zeekr, the upscale brand of Geely, will be distributed locally by the Willy Tee Ten-led company.

The official announcement from Autohub is expected to happen on March 15, at the 25th anniversary celebration of Autohub. Before then, the official signing happened just last week (March 4) when Tee Ten and his management team flew to Hangzhou to officially sign the partnership agreement with Zeekr executives.

The Autohub Group will start pre-sales and deliveries of two battery electric vehicles—the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X by the second quarter. Their first dealership, dubbed Zeekr Space, will be opened by the first half of 2024 and will be “located in Manila’s business and financial center area.”

The likely area would be Bonifacio Global City in Taguig since the Autohub Group has several properties located there.

The Zeekr 001 is considered to be the world’s first pure electric shooting brake.

Initial specs of the 001 include intelligent matrix LED projection headlights, a full-width “integrated” LED taillights, 21 or 22-inch alloy wheels, a 8.9-inch digital instrument cluster, 15.4-inch center screen, multi-color ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, and a 2,144-liter trunk.

It is available in both RWD and AWD drive, with the latter pushing out 544 horsepower enough for a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. With a 100-kWh battery, the max range is 620 kilometers (RWD). It comes with automatic air suspension and a variable gear ratio steering system.

Meanwhile, the Zeekr X is an urban SUV.

Specs of the X include double-edged daytime running lights, a full-width taillight composed of 229 LEDs, frameless door with soft-closing, “ice block” ambient lighting, a Yamaha sound system, and an Arc-shaped panoramic sunroof.

Like the 001, two powertrains are available with the AWD dispatching the 100 km/h mark in 3.8 seconds thanks to a peak 428 horsepower. Maximum range is quoted at 440 kilometers for the RWD model thanks to a 66-kWh battery.

  1. What do you mean the upscale brand of geely? Their luxury brand? Or just similar to changan's UNI series?

  4. They will probably open the price at around 3.5 Million at least, for the entry brand. Independent EV importers would probably place their prices at around 200K-300K less.
