Jeep Philippines Launches 2024 Wrangler Unlimited Sport For P 4.790M (w/ Specs)

Jeep in the Philippines has launched the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4-door) Sport for the local market. And in a surprise twist, the Wrangler now undercuts the upcoming Ford Bronco despite packing an enhanced powertrain and a longer list of standard equipment.

Inchcape Philippines, the distributor of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Trucks in the country continues the legacy of freedom and adventure associated with the Wrangler. Powering the 2024 Wrangler Unlimited Sport is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic. Despite the modest displacement, it packs a punch: 268 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm.

This capable powertrain is combined with Jeep’s renowned 4x4 system and the Wrangler Unlimited Sport now comes with a Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD System, the Dana M186 Front Axle, Dana M200 Rear Axle, Conventional Differential Front Axle w/ Disconnect, Conventional Differential Rear Axle, Transmission Skid Plate, Transfer Case Skid Plate Shield, and Fuel Tank Skid Plate.

Priced at P 4,790,000 (P 208,000 lower than the Ford Bronco Outerbanks), the Wrangler Unlimited Sport now has LED exterior lighting in the form of the headlights (with automatic on/off), taillights, DRLs, and fog lights. This is in conjunction with the new molded black front bumper and matte black Jeep badge and Wrangler decal. At each corner are 17-inch alloy wheels with 245/75R17 all-terrain tires.

In addition, the Wrangler Unlimited Sport continues to offer a three-piece hard top (in black) that may be removed for true open-air freedom.

Step inside, and the 2024 Wrangler Unlimited Sport comes with new soft-touch surfaces and enhanced levels of connectivity. At the center is a 12.3-inch touchscreen with the fifth-generation Uconnect system. This brings over-the-air (OTA) updates as well as Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and five user profiles (with a valet mode) to store preferences. There are also USB Type C ports and a 12-volt accessory outlet. A 9-speaker Alpine audio system is standard.

From the driver’s perspective, the new Wrangler Unlimited Sport comes with a 7-inch TFT color display driver’s cluster. The seats are adjustable in up to six ways (manually) and are covered in an easy-to-clean cloth surface. Other features include illuminated cup holders, power windows with one-touch down, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and a Torx Tool Kit to attach and remove the doors and hard top.

In terms of safety, the 2024 model comes with full list of driver-assistive features such as Adaptive Cruise Control w/ Stop, Selec-Speed Control, Advanced Brake Assist, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Anti-Lock 4-Wheel FNC Disc HD Brakes, Electronic Stability Control, Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, Trailer Sway Damping, ParkSense Rear Park Assist System, and ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera. These are on top of the Advanced Multi-Stage Front Air Bags, Supplemental Front Seat Side Air Bags, and Supplemental Side Curtain Air Bags.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport is available in eight exterior colors:
  • Firecracker Red
  • Granite Crystal
  • Silver Zynith
  • High Velocity
  • Hydro Blue
  • Sarge Green
  • Bright White

    3. They might all be in the same price range but their target markets are totally different. Apples to Oranges.

  3. Too much reliance with “American” brand which is the downfall of the USA cars. They keep on forgetting quality is no 1. US supremacy is cars is questionable.
