Ford Philippines bolsters its line-up with two new variants of its Ranger and Everest. Both models receive cosmetic enhancements, while retaining their value-for-money pricing and features.
Available in both 4x2 and 4x4 variants (with an automatic transmission), the Ranger Sport Special Edition comes with a long leg sports bar that extends from the cab toward the rear. This adds protective support when hauling heavy or uneven cargo. Inside, retractable cup holders are now integrated into the instrument panel.
“The Ranger portfolio continues to grow with the Ranger Sport Special Edition – perfect for pickup customers who are looking for a more functional truck for loading or hauling, but with the same features found on and dynamic look of the Ranger Sport,” shares Ryan Lorenzo, director, Retail Product Marketing and Business Growth, Ford Philippines. “With the Ranger Sport Special Edition, we are making it standard in every Ford Ranger relevant features such as the sports bar and cup holder that our customers are looking for.”
The Ranger Sport Special Edition comes in Absolute Black, Arctic White, Blue Lightning, and Meteor Grey and is priced at P 1,529,000 for the 4x2 and P 1,649,000 for the 4x4.
Meanwhile, the Everest Sport Special Edition (available solely in 4x2), adds a black roof and spoiler (decal wrapped), 20-inch black alloy wheels with red accent, and “EVEREST” lettering on the hood. It comes in just two colors: Aluminum Metallic and Snowflake White Pearl at a retail price of P 2,194,000.
“The Everest Sport Special Edition caters to customers who are looking for a modern and sophisticated 7-seater SUV without compromising safety, technology, and efficient performance,” continues Lorenzo. “We are excited to give our customers another Everest variant that they will surely love. Mechanically, both these Special Edition models are unchanged from their regular Sport counterparts. This means being powered by a single turbo 2.0-liter diesel engine with 170 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque. Both come with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Like other Everest and Ranger variants, it comes with a 5-year vehicle warranty and comes with FordPass, allowing users to enjoy remote access like remote door lock & unlock, remote engine stop & start with pre-cooling, vehicle locator, and vehicle status.
