Hyundai has one “must have” feature that has helped them top the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study once more. This year marks the sixth consecutive year that the Korean automaker has topped the study, reinforcing its leadership in automotive innovation.
According to the findings in this year’s study, blind spot cameras have become a must have feature. A large majority—93 percent—of customers say they use the blind spot imaging most of the time, and 74 percent say they desire the feature in a future vehicle.
The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe’s Blind-Spot View Monitor (BWM) was singled out for enhancing visibility and driver confidence during lane changes.
The Santa Fe’s BVM enhances safety by providing real-time visuals of the vehicle’s blind spots. When the turn signal is activated, side-mounted cameras display live video footage of the corresponding blind spot on the instrument cluster. This feature allows drivers to detect vehicles, cyclists, or other obstacles that may not be visible in the conventional mirrors, reducing collision risks and boosting overall confidence while changing lanes. The BVM is one of the features under Hyundai’s suite of smart and advanced technologies, Hyundai SmartSense, which was designed to aid drivers when on the road.
Now in its tenth year, the TXI Study evaluates how effectively automakers introduce new technologies by assessing innovation, execution and the value of advanced features, based on customer feedback. Hyundai Motor’s performance in the 2025 U.S. TXI Study highlights its strength in delivering intuitive, reliable, and impactful technology designed for everyday driving.
The 2025 U.S. TXI Study is based on responses from 76,230 owners of new 2025 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study was fielded from March 2024 through February 2025. The U.S. TXI Study complements the annual J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) and the J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study by measuring how effectively each automotive brand brings new technologies to market. The U.S. TXI Study combines the level of adoption of new technologies for each brand with excellence in execution. The execution measurement examines how much owners like the technologies and how many problems they experience while using them.
