As Ford Philippines gears up for the retail sales of its first-ever battery electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E, the carmaker has revealed as to which Ford dealership they’ll be made available at.
As a refresher, the solitary variant of the Mustang Mach-E available locally is the Premium AWD Extended Range trim. Priced at P 3,499,000—the same price as the Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost—it receives an 88-kWh lithium-ion nickel cobalt manganese battery giving up to 550 kilometers of range. Hooked up to dual electric motors, it offers a combined output of 394 horsepower (290 kW) and 676 Nm of torque. This also gives it electronic all-wheel drive.
Among the standard features found in the Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD Extended Range include LED lighting, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a slew of in-car tech including a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a 15.5-inch portrait style infotainment screen, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Available in five colors, Glacier Gray, Star White, Shadow Black, Velocity Blue, and Grabber Yellow, the Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD Extended Range will be sold in select Ford dealerships only to ensure the best possible customer sales and aftersales experience.

In terms of actual sales the Mach E described above are negligible as against the 2026 Model Y LR AWD, especially in the US and Europe. Here in the Philippines I know of more than 10 people who own a Model Y LR AWD. I do not know anyone who owns a Mach E AWD Premium Extended Range.
ReplyDeleteIn the US the same Mach E above undercuts the Model Y LR AWD by more than $4K but still cannot come anywhere near the Model Y in sales.
In terms of actual performance, the Model Y is overall superior to the Mach E. The Model Y is also more efficient, has faster DC Charging (250Kw to Mach E's 150Kw) and has significantly more cargo space.
Why then would one go for the Mach E in the Philippines considering all the above, and pay an additional P300K - P400K for the Mach E ?
One would think that Ford Philippines would be knowledgeable enough to price their Mache E competitively against the Model Y. But no, Ford has shot itself in the foot again by pricing the Mach E at P3.3M.
Ford Philippines has done it again. As usual its woes are self-inflicted.
