Ford Philippines Brings Back Everest Wildtrak As A Permanent Addition To The Local Line-Up

The Everest Wildtrak returns to the Ford Philippines product portfolio after being offered as a limited-edition variant in 2023. In addition, it now comes in both 4x2 and 4x4 variants locally for the first time.

Combining the rugged capability of the Everest with the distinctive styling and premium features that come with the Ranger Wildtrak, the Everest Wildtrak arrives with a P 2,379,000 price tag for the 4x2 and P 2,640,000 for the 4x4. Remarkably, the 4x2’s pricing is just P 10,000 more than what it was in 2023.

The Everest Wildtrak is powered a 2.0-liter diesel engine—with the 4x2 getting a single turbo (170 horsepower and 405 Nm) and the 4x4 getting a bi-turbo (210 horsepower and 500 Nm). The 4x2’s engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic, while the 4x4 gets a 10-speed automatic.

Carrying over the unmistakable Wildtrak styling, the Everest Wildtrak receives unique bumpers and fender flares painted in Bolder Gray. At the back is a 3D “WILDTRAK” tailgate badge. Other features include Matrix LED headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting System, 20-inch machined-face alloy wheels, dual recovery hooks, and raised roof rails. A panoramic sunroof completes the exterior changes.

Available colors for the Everest Wildtrak are: Luxe Yellow (limited units available), Blue Lightning, Absolute Black, Meteor Grey, and Snowflake White Pearl (additional P 20,000).

Inside, the Everest Wildtrak offers a coast-to-coast instrument panel accentuated by Wildtrak-exclusive Cyber Orange stitching across the console, doors, steering wheel, and armrests. The integrated 12-inch center touchscreen with SYNC connectivity provides seamless access to navigation, entertainment, and smartphone features.

In terms of safety, standard is Ford’s suite of advanced driver-assist technologies including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Evasive Steer Assist, Lane Keeping Aid, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Reverse Brake Assist, and a 360-degree camera—the only 4x2 variant among the Everest range to get ADAS, including the 360-degree camera.

The Ford Everest Wildtrak comes standard with a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first.

  4. 2.0 single turbo is too underpowered for the Everest 4x2 weight! The bi-turbo engine should be standard across the range, or atleast on even the higher trim 4x2s. That is my only complaint with the Everest, everything else is very good.

    1. The 2.0 single turbo is already a stressed engine, what more is the bi turbo? Maintenance cost will eventually shoot up as the engine ages, while claiming any applicable warranty is a very strenous exercise at the dealerships. One would argue that its not an issue since "only the wealthy" would buy these anyway.
Performance-wise at full complement, the previous 4x2 single turbo feels lacking oomph up a long winding hill on concrete pavement ie. Ligaya drive.
Here is hoping the author would be able to test and review these latests ones on such roads one day.

  6. Waiting for Ford Everest Tremor. Hopefully, it will come out in Philippine market. V6 or the 3.2 engine should be the standard for 4x4 variant.

  8. My sister owns a 2022 ford everest and its 2.2 duratorq engine na may timing chain very easy and cheap to maintain. Sana ibalik nila timing chain sa mga ford suv coz wet timing belts will break down and its particles will clog up the oil circulation. Sa simula masarap gamitin but later on sakit sa ulo yan

    1. That's why people who own the wet belt should have them serviced earlier/more frequently than what Ford recommends. Doing that catches the degradation before it becomes an issue.
