Suzuki had a small surprise at the Fronx official Philippine launch (check out the full specs and first impressions). Along with their newest crossover is the latest version of their SUV. The Suzuki XL7 shed the body color and chrome trimmings on its body for a sleeker Black Edition guise.
The changes were done on the exterior of the car only. Starting in front, Suzuki’s logo is now more emphasized as the bar and the rest of the grille is now pure black. The front diffuser was also made darker to blend well with the theme.
More of the revisions can be seen on the side profile. The roof rails are now black, blending well with the 2-tone theme of select units. Side mirrors and door handles also shed their body color for black. The 16-inch wheels retained their same design but are now finished in painted black as well. Meanwhile, the taillights are now smoked and the tailgate garnish has been given the black treatment.
In the cabin, the only change done was the new design of the instrument cluster. The analog gauges now has a brighter shade of blue with an outline. All else, like the Push Start Button, 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Automatic Climate Control are retained.
No changes were made to the powertrain. The XL7 Hybrid runs with the same 1.5-liter engine paired to a mild-hybrid system. It produces 105 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque mated to a 4-speed automatic.
The new Suzuki XL7 Hybrid is now available across all Suzuki dealerships nationwide. It’s priced at P 1,259,000 (just P 7,000 more than the regular XL7 Hybrid) while the 2-tone version is an additional P 10,000.

Another "hybrid" from Suzuki again lolol. If they decide to bring a real hybrid (which they have, the recently launched Victoris) then no one will be taking them seriously anymore.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what's with those specs? 4 speed auto, 2 airbags in 2025, really? India already has a 6-airbag version already, and 6 speed auto for mild-hybrid. This thing is outdated AF. I would have said, "atleast it's cheaper than the Xpander," but this thing is surprisingly just as expensive and just as outdated.
What this car needs is a deeper refresh not only a new color scheme. New grille, bumper, lights, etc. Inside, maybe a bigger center console, etc. The competition already moved on, this was being left behind in looks and in sales.
