Hyundai Motor PH Launches 2026 Stargazer And Stargazer X (w/ Specs)

Hyundai Motor Philippines’ slew of new model launches this 2025 continues with the introduction of the refreshed Stargazer and Stargazer X. The 2026 updates bring a bolder style and new features to one of Hyundai’s best-selling vehicles in the country.

Outside, the 2026 Stargazer gains a crossover-inspired styling. The fenders, hood, and bumpers have all been modified to make it more upright, especially considering its two-box shape. The eye-catching full-length front LED light bar remains, but is now made to connect to the vertically-oriented DRLs (as opposed to the seamless horizon design of old). Like the front, the interconnected lighting remains, but again, the graphic has been made much more aggressive than before. The tailgate is also new with the number plate placement moving from the tailgate to the lower bumper.

Meanwhile, the refreshed Stargazer X shows an even more rugged design. Compared to the regular Stargazer, it sports black fender flares, large raised functional roof rails (up to 100 kilograms of static weight), and an extended rear spoiler. Blacked out badges and 17-inch alloy wheels complete the package.

For the Philippine market, a total of five colorways are available for the Stargazer and three for the Stargazer X:
  • Midnight Black Pearl (Stargazer)
  • Creamy White Pearl (Stargazer)
  • Magnetic Silver Metallic (Stargazer)
  • Titan Gray Metallic (Stargazer)
  • Dragon Red Pearl (Stargazer)
  • Creamy White Pearl w/ Black Roof (Stargazer X)
  • Magnetic Silver Metallic w/ Black Roof (Stargazer X)
  • Dragon Red Pearl w/ Black Roof (Stargazer X)
The Stargazer continues to have best-in-class interior room. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, now better integrating the two-screen design. The two TFT color displays, measuring up to 10.25-inch for the driver and 10.25-inch for the infotainment system (with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), provide a high-tech look and feel. Other features include automatic climate control and a wireless charger.

Carried over from the current Stargazer, the 2026 Stargazer and Stargazer X get a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. As for transmission, all variants now sport the Intelligent Variable Transmission or IVT as standard.

When it comes to safety, Hyundai has equipped higher-spec variants with Hyundai Smartsense which bundles technologies such as blind spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision warning, and rear cross traffic avoidance alert, along with adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, lane keep assist and driver attention warning. This is on top of front and rear parking sensors, blind spot view monitor, and a rear camera.

The 2026 Stargazer is priced at:
  • Stargazer 1.5 GL Plus IVT – P 1,118,000
  • Stargazer 1.5 GLS IVT – P 1,228,000
  • Stargazer X 1.5 GLS Plus IVT – P 1,318,000
  • Stargazer X 1.5 Premium IVT – P 1,378,000

The price is inclusive of a free 1-year Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) with free pick-up and delivery for PMS and general jobs, and a 5-year warranty.

    1. If you're already ahead and your competition changes nothing and you change nothing, then you're still ahead.

That's called coasting on your success. That's a specialty of companies like Toyota 😉
