This Is How Much Your Kia's Service Will Cost You For 5 Years

Kia Philippines is now offering lower service costs, longer service intervals, and nationwide accessibility through its exclusive distributor, ACMobility. The new program is designed to keep Kia vehicles road-ready, while keeping overall ownership practical and affordable.

“Our PMS program is structured to deliver lower maintenance costs while ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “Through advanced diagnostics, we save customers time, reduce costs, and provide lasting peace of mind.”

With extended service intervals of every 10,000 kilometers or six months (whichever comes first), drivers can conveniently align maintenance with their travel plans, minimizing downtime.

Kia technicians thoroughly inspect each vehicle during every service visit, using only genuine Kia parts and updating the vehicle’s software when necessary. With Kia’s maintenance program, owners can enjoy competitive pricing across five years or 100,000 kilometers. The average total maintenance cost over a five-year period is:
  • P 85,076 for the Kia Sonet (P 17,015.20 annual average)
  • P 107,186 for the Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid (P 21,437.20 annual average)
  • P 109,175 for the Carnival Diesel (P 21,835.00 annual average)
  • P 117,211 for the Kia Carnival Hybrid (P 23,442.20 annual average)
With these maintenance costs, Kia says owners can save up to P 76,000 over time. These savings are made possible by Kia’s efficient service schedule as well as affordable parts and labor costs, which make Kia ownership a smart and practical choice.

In addition Kia is supported by a network of 35 service centers nationwide, each staffed with highly-trained technicians who undergo continuous development through the Kia Technician’s Boot Camp (KTBC), a program designed to equip Filipino technicians with world-class skills. These centers maintain a full inventory of genuine Kia parts, while logistics partners ensure prompt delivery of internationally sourced components.

“With Kia’s PMS program, Filipino drivers can save more, spend less time in service centers, and enjoy safer journeys,” Lopez concluded. “This means more quality time for the moments that truly matter.”

  1. "With Kia’s maintenance program, owners can enjoy competitive pricing across five years or 100,000 kilometers."
The indicated 5-year "competitive pricing" isn't guaranteed by the service provider. This is surely not a promotion as it doesn't have any indicated DTI permits.
Inflation over the next 5-years will make this press release moot. Consumers should know better.

    1. What's with this doomer doubt? It's an initiative that will save people money. Can't you just be happy for them?

So what if stuff is gonna get more expensive in the next 5 years? What kind of spending do you recommend people do then? Because that sounds like some random-ass talking point to come off as sounding smart. lol

    2. Point is: Take this advert with a grain of salt. Nothing's set in stone. The figures aren't final and can actually mislead consumers. You should know better.

    3. Can you bring up an example of KIA, Ayala, or any other brand/distributor who misled customers in the past through something similar to this? You sound like you know. You wouldn't mislead us by warning us against a hypothetical scenario that had not happened in the Philippines before would you? I think giving an example would definitely help support your point.

    4. Sounding like you are a legal counsel to the distributors.
No need for examples or justifications. Inflation is real and affects everything where money is involved. Putting a press release like this is not ok because some consumers take it religiously. Fast forward to 2030, some customers who took this ad to heart will surely question their car's high maintenance cost compared to what was advertized in 2025. This article will actually backfire and become bad publicity. Others dont pull stunts like this, or some already did and had suffered the consequence.
As stated, nothing is set in stone. The costs indicated is not guaranteed and will surely not be true in 5 years because of inflation (the author should actually have placed a disclaimer on his article).
This is why consumers like you should know better, and be prepared for the "actual cost" when time comes and not rely on misleading adverts like this.
You probably already grasped the point, you just dont want to accept it.

What? Screw the car companies who screw their customers but implying from the start that a company IS GOING to act in bad faith (without mentioning any previous incident) by 'misleading' them, through these adverts, is not something you should be doing/saying even if you think you're helping people (you're actually not).

"Others dont pull stunts like this, or some already did and had suffered the consequence."

So you do have examples then? Or is that still a no?

And I'm not arguing against inflation, dummy, but you're acting like we're Argentina or some other place with runaway inflation. That said, efforts like these are still meant to give customers savings even with inflation (that should be a given).

"Inflation over the next 5-years will make this press release moot."

This previous statement of yours implies that inflation will wipe out any savings. This is an extreme assumption (though, if true, then everyone is F-ed and car maintenance prices are the least of your concerns lol).

And you know you can ask any car company what their 5-year maintenance costs are for any particular model and they will tell you, right? Would you begrudge them if after five years, because of inflation, it didn't match what they told you at the start? Like, what adult is completely unaware that everything gets more expensive over time?

Should people be prepared for the "actual costs?" Yes, they should. But getting to that point by claiming that they are being/going to be misled by PROJECTED savings? Is it so hard to grasp that the numbers are based on current-day prices? Would a disclaimer (as you suggest) help? Maybe. Sure. Are those "actual costs" in five years going to be wildly different to current day prices? I don't think so. How much will my ChickenJoy cost in this bleak future of yours? I am afraid to find out.

P.S. If I were to take a guess, based on your attitude towards inflation and your insistence that people "should know better" about said costs, along with how confident you come across with your points (regardless of how serious they actually are, or are not, vs how you think they are), I would guess you probably are (or have experience in being) a "financial advisor", the kind that "knows better" than the average person about this kind of stuff. But it doesn't really doesn't matter. I could be widly wrong on that. I just thought it would be fun taking a guess. lol

  2. People say KIA parts are unreliable and plasticky and hard to source. Is that true?

    1. Hyundai Kia parts are very good as I had my car for more than a decade. Its those replacement parts like 555 that are easily broken

  3. I only use replacement parts for my Kia Sorento. So far, so good. CASA is a killer. 120,000 over 5 yrs can buy you a 2nd hand car. Do the change oil in gas stations instead

  4. i doubt the wear and tear parts like brakepads, belts, sparkplugs, tensioner are included in the computation. if these are for oil and filters only, their PMS cost is too much.

    1. Do you understand how yearly averages work? You have years that will be more expensive and years that are less expensive. The numbers in the article are the average of both cases over five years.
