Toyota Motor PH Issues Special Service Campaign For More Than 11,700 Vehicles

Toyota Motor Philippines is issuing a safety recall for aselect Toyota and Lexus vehicles to address a possible malfunction of its Parking Assist ECU.

The issue which covers a wide range of Toyota and Lexus models (amounting to around 11,760 units in total) may mean that the Panoramic View Monitor system would freeze or fail to display the rearview image, particularly shortly after startup. Such issues increase the risk of accidents while reversing.

  • Alphard – 2,698 units (produced between June 12, 2023 to May 12, 2025)
  • Camry – 637 units (produced between May 7, 2024 to September 30, 2025)
  • Land Cruiser – 2,509 units (produced between November 22, 2024 to July 29, 2025)
  • Land Cruiser Prado – 1,305 units (produced between April 8, 2024 to June 11, 2024)
  • RAV4 – 1,353 units (produced between November 2, 2022 to July 21, 2025)
For Lexus, several models are also part of the campaign:
  • Lexus ES – 74 units (produced between November 23, 2022 to May 29, 2025)
  • Lexus GX – 68 units (produced between February 19, 2024 to May 30, 2025)

    1. Toyota is afraid of paying hundred millions of dollars when they got sued by a group of Toyota and Lexus owners.
TMPC did try to evade a DNGA mass vehicle recall issued by Toyota Indonesia back then.

    2. Toyota is a responsible automaker. They admit their mistakes and fix them.

    3. I'm sure that Toyota is very responsible but I'm not sure if every responsible automaker has been raided by Japanese authorities like what happened to Toyota with scandals in the past though 😅

People should not be whitewashing the history of these profit-driven corporations as some of those mistakes weren't accidents and they just ended up getting caught.

  9. For those who complain about too many problems, buy other brands so madagdagan naman market share nila. Toyota built its brand equity and market share according to their ways. Many may not agree but majority buys Toyota worldwide.

    1. Not all people worldwide buy Toyota vehicles due to its pricing, poor driving dynamics and many more.
India,China,UK,Pakistan and European countries are the countries where Toyota aren't number 1 in terms of sales.

    3. No.1 in sales does not mean its the best car. Example is the mazda- its not no.1 in sales but it drives a lot better than the bland boring and souless garden variety corolla..
