2022-2024 Toyota Camrys Recalled For Cameras That May Crack And Fail

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has launched a Customer Satisfaction Campaign (CSC) to inspect the cameras of the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) on the Toyota Camry.

Compared to a Special Service Campaign is which is a potential safety-related recall, a Customer Satisfaction Campaign doesn’t affect a vehicle’s overall driving. As such, the fix can be done at the same time as a vehicle’s preventive maintenance service, or at an owner’s convenience.

In the Philippine market, the Customer Satisfaction Campaign on the Toyota Camry will cover a total of 1,033 vehicles produced between November 25, 2022 to September 2, 2024.

The affected vehicles are equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system, which uses multiple cameras around the vehicle to capture and display images. Due to a parts manufacturing error with the forward and side camera sensors during a specific production period, there is a chance that cracks may develop on these sensors. Over time, these cracks can grow and cause internal circuit failure, which may result in the PVM being unable to display the forward or side-view areas.

Toyota Motor Philippines will notify involved customers through an Official Notification Letter and will be invited by authorized Toyota Dealers to inspect the cameras of the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) at no charge to the vehicle owners.

Customers may also check if their vehicles are included in any active Service Campaign for Toyota models through their online VIN checker.

Repair parts for this campaign are currently unavailable but are expected to be ready by end of March 2026 or later.
