The all-new, sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 is almost upon us. With customer deliveries starting this Tuesday, March 17, Toyota Motor Philippines has finally released the specs of this much-awaited compact SUV.
For 2026, the RAV4 will come in two variants, the RAV4 2.5 Adventure HEV and the RAV4 2.5 Limited HEV. Prices start at P 2,183,000 for the RAV4 2.5 Adventure HEV and P 2,499,000 for the RAV4 2.5 Limited HEV.
Both the variants bring back standard all-wheel drive for the RAV4 nameplate. The A25A-FXS combustion engine, and AXA64L and ANXVB electric motor combo produces a total of 239 horsepower—186 horsepower (137 kW) from the front and 73 horsepower (54 kW) from the rear. Combined torque is rated at 221 Nm. Both have a 1.09-kWh battery.
Using the E-Four system, the all-wheel drive system on-board the RAV4 is purely electric. The system can precisely control the ratio of driving force between 100:0 and 20:80 (front to rear), achieving high levels of acceleration from a standstill and cornering stability. It will also offer no compromises to fuel economy.
Despite its all-wheel drive system, the RAV4 is observed with a 28.5 km/Lge in Urban, 20.4 km/Lge in Extra-Urban, and 20.4 km/Lge combined cycle. It requires just 91 octane.
The Limited features body-colored bumpers and a mesh grille joined by inner grille accents that create an advanced, three-dimensional look. The rear features a seamless design integrating the rear door window glass and lights. On the other hand, the ADV offers a tough and rugged appearance which is achieved through a unique design featuring a high front nose peak, large wheel arch molding, and raised roof rails.
The LTD will come in four colors: Platinum White Pearl (a P 15,000 premium), Attitude Black, Dark Blue Mica, and Avantgarde Bronze. Four other colors are available on order: Massive Gray, Urban Rock, Red Mica, and Ever Rest. Meanwhile, the Adventure, will come in three Urban Rock, Massive Gray, and Ever Rest with Attitude Black and Super White II being available for indent.
Inside, it’s all about functionality and user-friendliness. Mineral—a bluish-green hue with orange accents is standard on the Adventure, while for the Black is standard on the Limited. The Adventure can also be had in an optional black with orange accents, while the Limited can be ordered in beige.
Regardless of colorway, the center stack groups various functions together, like the touchscreen display, drive mode selection, and storage for a smartly organized space while the center console combines the shifter, cup holder with a removable divider, and arm rest/storage bin with a two-way closure.
In terms of features, not much will separate both RAV4 variants. Both the Adventure and Limited will come feature-packed, with a 12.3-inch all-digital gauge cluster, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and the usual accoutrements of power front seats, dual zone climate control with rear vents, and a sunroof.
The Limited gains 20-inch wheels with 235/50 R 20 (235/60 R18s on the ADV), Auto Leveling LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded leather upholstery (from synthetic leather on the Adventure), ventilated front seats, and heads-up display.
In terms of safety, the 2026 RAV4 is the first one to receive Toyota Safety Sense 4.0. The new version of Toyota’s standard active safety suite will have updates to its hardware and detection capabilities. Functions include Front Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitors, Rear Vehicle Approach Indicator, Lane Change Assist that can be engaged with Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, Pre-Collision System, and Advanced Park function (for the Limited).

DeleteLooking at features there is almost no reason to go for the Limited but then the price difference is too small to even consider the Adventure over the Limited.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, this is the “practical” choice in this price range, efficient, reliable and hassle free ownership but is generic and does not inspire anything, while the CX-60 appeals to the emotion, gorgeous exterior and hand crafted interior.
Personally, I find the Mazda CX-60 and CX-90 too bulbous for my liking. The Mazda CX-5 still appeals to me more despite its age.
DeleteThe face of the limited looks more luxurious, more like a Lexus. For sure can't go wrong with either. Go for the limited and pay for more tech primarily the intelligent parking assist, heads-up display, rear seat heater, driver and front passenger ventilated seats, leather, auto leveling headlights, panoramic sunroof, 20 inch wheels, shift-by-wire. I believe with the P316k difference, for all these tech and features, it's justifiable.

DeleteI just noticed the tires on the ADV are not the gnarlier off-roading-biased rubber fitted in the US and other markets, which also raised the ground clearance a little bit. Must be cost-cutting to reach the low starting price that they announced.
