Available on all 2027 Taycan grades (standard on the Taycan Turbo GT), the E-Shift simulates gear shifts in an EV. It mimics Porsche’s 8-speed PDK system, specifically down to its shift feel and drag torque. It even comes in both automatic and manual modes, with the latter allowing drivers to bounce off the “rev limiter.” The digital gauge cluster even switches to show a rev counter.

Together with the E-Shift system, Porsche also enhanced the Porsche Electric Sport Sound for a “more immersive experience.”

The Taycan also gets a larger 105 kWh battery pack that supports a higher charge rate (320 kWh). A new battery state of health display is also included.

Elsewhere, the 2027 Taycan gets a new infotainment software. The Porsche Digital Interaction offers a modern, minimalist design with configurable widgets and improved voice control. It now supports OTA updates and a smartphone tray with a magnetic ring mount that offers up to 25 watts of charging power.
