BAIC Sold More Cars At PIMS Than At MIAS

BAIC, under the UAAGI Auto Group, is the first brand to publicly declare that its participation at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) generated better quality leads than at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

While MIAS, a self-declared “selling show,” had more foot traffic over its 4-day run last April 9 to 12, BAIC said that at the recently-concluded PIMS (June 4-7, 2026), the brand recorded an “over 18 percent increase in sales.” This reflects a continued strong positive market response and growing consumer confidence to the brand.

BAIC Philippines’ strong showing at PIMS carries a positive momentum for the brand. In the first five months of 2026, BAIC Philippines recorded a 10 percent increase in sales compared to the same period in 2025, reflecting sustained consumer confidence and growing demand for the brand’s vehicle lineup.

Based on official CAMPI-TMA reports, BAIC has sold 203 units from January to April. May 2026 sales haven’t been officially released yet.

BAIC says that the brand’s performance was driven by sustained consumer demand for hybrid and electric vehicles, which accounted for 93 percent of BAIC’s total sales during the period.

Leading the brand’s performance was the B30e Dune, which accounted for 69 percent of total sales during the period. The B30e Dune sustained market performance highlights a robust consumer appetite for electrified vehicles, proving that Filipino motorists increasingly prioritize a seamless blend of efficiency, practicality, and versatility for their daily commutes.

The B60 Beaumont series followed as the brand’s second-largest contributor, representing 18 percent of total sales, further demonstrating consumer interest in BAIC’s expanding electrified lineup.

Further strengthening BAIC’s electrified lineup is the newly launched B40e Trailmaster rEV, which has sold out in the first month of sales, demonstrating an overwhelming reception from customers seeking electrified off-road capable vehicles.

As part of UAAGI Auto Group, BAIC Philippines benefits from the strength and expertise of one of the country’s fastest-growing automotive distribution groups. Supported by a network of 17 dealerships nationwide, the brand continues to expand its reach and make its products more accessible to Filipino consumers across key markets.

Beyond its retail footprint, BAIC customers are supported by UAAGI Auto Group’s growing aftersales network, which provides access to trained technicians, genuine parts, and comprehensive service support. This strong aftersales foundation helps enhance the ownership experience and reinforces customer confidence in the brand’s long-term commitment to the Philippine market.
