Changan's Luxury Brand, AVATR, Will Enter The Philippine Market


Autowise Ventures, Inc. (Auto Icon Group) has signed a distributorship agreement with Avatr, the luxury intelligent electric vehicle brand under the Changan Auto Group.

“The Philippine-market is gaining a strong momentum in the new energy vehicle segment as buyers become increasingly aware of and open to alternative mobility solutions. Avatr is here is to introduce and elevate the experience of what luxury mobility should be.”, said Mr. Guan Xin, Vice President, Changan Auto Group.

As one of China’s fastest-rising luxury EV brands, Avatr combines cutting-edge technology, intelligent mobility, and sophisticated design to create a new generation of luxury electric vehicles.

The brand is set to launch an exciting lineup in the Philippines this year, beginning with the Avatr 11, a luxury SUV equipped with a dual-motor system producing up to 578 horsepower, and capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Completing the initial range is the Avatr 12, a luxury executive sedan that features the brand’s advanced “4D Intelligent Cockpit”, delivering a highly immersive and connected driving experience; and the Avatr 07, the brand’s urban SUV and the first Avatr model to offer both Pure Electric (BEV) and Extended Range (REEV) powertrains, providing customers with greater flexibility and convenience.

Avatr is scheduled to make its official Philippine debut in the third quarter of this year, supported by full-service 3S dealerships strategically located in Alabang and Bonifacio Global City.

  1. China is already encouraging its car industry to consolidate and not have intra (same) brand competition. Yet outside their country, it continues to allow one brand to compete with a sister brand. When consolidation does actually happen in Ch, externally it will be the appointed distributors, dealerships, buyers and lessors in the losing end.

    1. Yes, it's Changan's luxury sub-brand. It's in the same positioning as NIO, Xpeng, Hongqi, etc.
