BREAKING NEWS: Lynk & Co Will Now Become A Geely Motor Philippines Subsidiary

Lynk & Co has been officially integrated into Geely Motor Philippines as a wholly owned subsidiary. This was confirmed by an announcement from the Chinese automaker.

“We sincerely appreciate United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) for their continuous support and contributions to Lynk & Co’s growth in the Philippines,” said Mr. Ye Qin, General Manager of ASEAN RHD Business Unit, Geely Auto International Corporation. “Since Lynk & Co entered the Philippine market, UAAGI has actively driven the brand’s local market development, laying a foundation for expanding our presence and serving local consumers. The Philippines remains a crucial market for Lynk & Co’s long term development. Moving forward, we will continue to increase our investment in the Philippine market, enrich our product lineup, optimize our sales and service infrastructure, and enhance user experience, delivering better mobility experiences tailored to local consumer needs.”

Per Geely, this realignment marks a significant move by Geely to deepen synergy under its “One Geely” strategy and accelerate its long-term investment in the Philippine market.

Geely Motor Philippines is targeting September 1, 2026 as the transition date for aftersales operations. Beginning on this date, GMP will oversee the supply of genuine parts and honor all existing vehicle warranties through its Geely dealership network.

Meanwhile, UAAGI Auto Group assures all Lynk & Co owners that their ownership experience will remain a priority throughout the transition. Customer inquiries received by UAAGI will be coordinated and endorsed to the GMP Aftersales team to ensure timely assistance and seamless experience. UAAGI may also assist with the aftersales operations, where necessary, to help ensure uninterrupted support during the handover period.

Established in 2016 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Lynk & Co has consistently adhered to a global development vision, delivering premium mobility options to global consumers through innovative design, leading technology, and unique brand experiences. In March 2024, Lynk & Co officially entered the Philippine market, gradually establishing its local brand influence with a distinct brand positioning and differentiated product offering.

According to Geely Motor Philippines, this move will enable Lynk & Co to accelerate its product footprint and brand refreshment. In the fourth quarter of 2026, Lynk & Co will start its brand refreshment in the Philippines and progressively introduce a new generation of premium products under the GMP operating framework. Among these, the Lynk & Co 900, a high-tech, full-size SUV targeted at the premium PHEV segment (see lead photo).

As Lynk & Co’s flagship SUV, the Lynk & Co 900 centers around exceptional space, comfort, safety, and refined experience that balances comfort and capabilities.

  3. For One Geely, will Zeekr and Radar be next? Sales volume of these 2 are not that high so likelihood of merger is always there.

    1. Sa mga ganitong news, what usually happens is operations and support ramps up. Kasama na dyan yung after sales. Note the drastic decline in complaints about Geely's after sales issues after the finalized their takeover of operations.
