Dimensionally, the PV7 is closer to the likes of the Staria and the Hiace than the PV5. Measuring in at 5,350 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, and 1,990 mm tall, the PV7 has a 3,500 mm wheelbase.

Like the PV5, it can optioned with either a twin-swing tailgate or conventional lift-up tailgate. This will be joined by high roof and long wheelbase versions in the near future as well. All in all, 23 body configurations will be offered for the PV7.

At launch, Kia showed off a 7-seater passenger version of the PV7. Although a 9- and 11-passenger version will be made available too. The PV7’s modularity means the 7- and 9-seater both offer removable seats and plenty of storage solutions. It’s also high on technology with either a 12.9- or 14.6-inch center screen serving as the focal point.

The lounge-inspired approach also means several interesting two-tone colorways such as: Onyx Black One-Tone, Onyx Black-Gray Two-Tone and Sand & Taupe. There’s even an open tray finished in thermoplastic styrene (TPS) that enhances color richness while contributing to a quieter cabin experience, while fabric applied to the upper dashboard and seat upholstery materials add comfort, refinement, and visual depth.

Compared to the 400-volt architecture of the PV5, Kia opted for its cutting-edge 800-volt system on the PV7 meaning fast charging support of up to 350 kW. It’s also the first model to get dual charging ports—one at the front (AC/DC) and one at the rear side (AC).

In terms of powertrain, the front-electric motor produces 272 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. An all-wheel drive version is also in the cards. Battery-wise, it gets either a 71.5- or 96.2-kWh NCM lithium-ion battery providing up to 460 kilometers of range.

There’s also a comprehensive ADAS suite in the PV5 including pedal misapplication prevention, front collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving assist, all-around parking distance warning, remote smart parking assist, a surround view monitor and a built-in dashcam.

Style-wise, the PV7 takes on the same PBV family look pioneered by the PV5 with key features such as the one-box form and floating roof graphic.

The PV7 goes on sale in the second half of 2027 for markets such as Korea and Europe. It will be built alongside the PV5 at Kia’s Hwaseong EVO West PBV Plant. The PBV Conversion Center will support flexible production of standard and converted models, complemented by regional conversion partners.
