Kia’s 2026 has been about expanding its EV lineup; so far, we’ve seen the launches of pure EV models like the EV3 and EV5, plus the return of the much-loved Sportage now in HEV form. Before the year is out, the Korean automaker wants to slide in one more important launch, this time catering to the logistics and utilitarian segment of mobility.
The 2026 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit is underway, and taking center stage is Kia with the launch of the all-new PV5 Cargo Van (read our review of the Passenger Van version in Korea). PV stands for “Platform Beyond Vehicle,” with the PV5 being built on a new, wholly dedicated EV Platform. Kia designed the PV5 as a purpose-built EV solution for commercial logistics, combining heavy-duty capacity and long-range battery efficiency.
The Kia PV5 was recognized and awarded as the 2026 International Van of the Year and features a very modern and sleek look. Its exterior features LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED rear-combination taillights, and rides on 16-inch steel wheels with caps. In terms of dimensions, the PV5 is 4,695 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, 1,905mm high, and has a total wheelbase of 2,995 mm. Kia does say that despite the PV5’s overall size, it still remains easy to maneuver in tight city streets.
As mentioned, the PV5 is a fully electrified van that uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which delivers 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The 51.5 kWh battery, when fully charged, is capable of travelling over 380 kilometers (384 NEDC). It is also equipped with DC fast charging, which can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. For regular recharges, standard AC charging juices up the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 4 hours and 45 minutes using an 11 kW wall box. Furthering its multi-purpose capabilities, the PV5 also has V2L technology should it be needed.
A standout feature that sets the PV5 apart is that it’s packed with creature comforts and safety technology. In terms of safety, the PV5 has Kia’s DriveWise safety suite with Forward Collision Avoidance, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Smart Cruise Control, and Lane Keep Assist, just to name a few. Tech-wise, the PV5 comes with a 12.9-inch touchscreen display paired with a 7.5-inch display, with wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Given that the PV5 is a logistics vehicle, every purchase is fully integrated into ACMobility’s commercial ecosystem, providing access to dedicated B2B fleet solutions such as ChargeFleet management, Greenstrum infrastructure support, Power-on-Wheels mobile support, and access to reliable charging via the nationwide Evro app network. The Kia PV5 is available in one variant that costs P 2,098,000 but can be had in 3 different colors—Snow White Pearl, Steel Grey, and Aurora Black Pearl.
