Omoda Jaecoo PH Announce Leadership Changes Ahead Of iCAUR Brand Launch

Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines, Inc. (OJMPI) announced key executive appointments effective October 13, 2026, as the company reshuffles its management structure ahead of the launch of a new brand, iCaur.

Marc Zhang, previously Country Director of Omoda & Jaecoo under OJMPI, has been appointed Executive Vice President. He brings extensive experience in automotive retail operations, including Mercedes-Benz dealership management and new energy vehicle (NEV) business management in China. In his expanded role, Zhang will oversee the company’s broader business operations and strategic direction as OJMPI continues to develop its growing brand portfolio in the Philippines.

“Marc has played an important role in establishing and growing Omoda & Jaecoo in the Philippines and building the foundations for the brands’ continued expansion. We thank him for his leadership and look forward to his contributions in his expanded role as Executive Vice President of Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines, Inc.,” said Mr. Chun Hu, the CEO of OJMPI.

As part of the same leadership transition, Rocky Xu has been appointed Country Director for Omoda & Jaecoo, assuming responsibility for the brands’ Philippine operations. Previously overseeing Omoda & Jaecoo’s dealer network development, Xu brings direct experience in expanding the brands’ retail presence and strengthening their market reach in the country.

“We are equally pleased to have Rocky take the lead as Country Director for the brand of Omoda & Jaecoo. His familiarity with the Philippine market, our dealer partners and our business gives him a strong foundation from which to lead the brands forward. Together, these appointments strengthen our management team as we continue to expand our presence, product portfolio and customer support in the Philippines,” added Mr. Chun Hu, the CEO of OJMPI.

OJMPI has recorded several milestones in the Philippines across vehicle sales, product expansion, dealer network development and aftersales support since launching in 2025. In the first half of 2026, Omoda & Jaecoo ranked third among battery electric vehicle brands in the Philippines by sales volume, recording 1,484 BEV units based on CAMPI-TMA data.

Omoda & Jaecoo has also continued to expand its nationwide footprint. In September, the company signed its 50th dealer partnership for the brand Omoda & Jaecoo.

“Our priorities for Omoda & Jaecoo remain clear: to introduce products that are relevant to Filipino customers, strengthen our dealer and aftersales network, and deliver an ownership experience that earns the confidence of the market. We have built strong momentum since entering the Philippines, and I look forward to working with our team and partners as we take Omoda & Jaecoo into its next phase of growth in the country,” Xu said.

OJMPI is also preparing for the official Philippine introduction of iCaur, further expanding the company’s presence in the country’s new energy vehicle market.

Ahead of the brand’s official launch, OJMPI has begun establishing iCaur’s local retail and aftersales network with an initial group of automotive dealer partners.
