VinFast Philippines has opened pre-orders for its large five-seater SUV, the VF 8, with a launch slated by November 2026.
Customers can now register their interest through any of VinFast’s authorized dealerships. The first 1,000 customers through November 5 will receive a free one-year battery subscription with a non-refundable deposit of P 5,000 to P 10,000.
Antonio “Toti” Zara III, CEO of VinFast Philippines, said: “The tremendous demand for VinFast’s innovations here in the Philippines inspired us to launch this early booking program for the all-new VF 8. Built for the performance and tech-focused Filipinos, the VF 8 promises a premium midsize crossover e-SUV experience. The pre-order program is our way of giving Filipinos a chance to be among the first in the Philippines to experience our newest offering. We cannot wait for the arrival of the VF 8 in the Philippines this November, and we are even more excited to welcome more Filipinos to the VinFast ecosystem.”
The VF 8 launching in the Philippines is the second-generation model. It features the “Tech Fluid” design language that features seamless lines to convey sophistication and a strong sense of motion.
VinFast has yet to reveal any official specs, but filings done with the Department of Energy reveals that the VF 8 will be offered in a single variant for the local market: the VF 8 Comfort.
Based on its paperwork, it’s powered by a single front-mounted, front-driven electric motor making 231 horsepower (170 kW) and 330 Nm of torque. This is enough for a sub-8-second 0 to 100 km/h time. A 60.13 kWh (usable) lithium-ion battery allows up to 500 kilometers of NEDC range. AC charging is capped off at 7.4 kW, while DC charging maxes out at 100 kW.
It has auto on/off LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/50R19 tires, a power adjustable driver’s seat with memory, dual zone climate control with rear vents, “Vegan” leather seats, a 12.9-inch infotainment display with 6 speakers, auto dimming rearview mirror, and a full set of safety equipment including ADAS.
Confirmed by VinFast Philippines, the VF 8 will have a 7-year or 160,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty.
