Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai Truck & Bus (HTB) in the Philippines, joined Fairthron Transport Service Cooperative in marking the inauguration of 10 additional Hyundai Class 3 Modern Public Utility Vehicles (MPUVs) last October 26.
Held at the Greater Lagro Barangay Hall in Quezon City, the event marks another milestone in the cooperative’s fleet expansion. The new additional units serve more commuters along the SM Fairview–SM North route under the Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP).
The milestone event brought together key representatives from the transport sector, government, and industry partners, including Angelito Roque, Chairman of Fairthron Transport Service Cooperative; Atty. Zona Russet Tamayo, LTFRB-NCR Regional Director; Edmond Cadavola, Chairman of Pandacan Transport; Ferdinand Lupangosy, Chairman of Sandigan Transport; Kap. Leo Garra, Punong Barangay; and HARI representatives Timothy Magisa, Assistant Vice President for the National Sales Division, and Vanessa Estrella, Assistant Manager for Sales. As the official distributor of Hyundai Truck & Bus in the Philippines, HARI joined these stakeholders in demonstrating collective support for public transport modernization and stronger mobility services for Filipino commuters.
Fairthron Transport began operating Hyundai Class 3 MPUVs in 2022 with an initial fleet of 15 units. The latest addition brings its fleet to 25 Hyundai Class 3 MPUVs, strengthening the cooperative’s commitment to modern and reliable public transportation services.
“The addition of these units underscores the continued partnership between HARI and Fairthron Transport Service Cooperative in advancing public transport modernization,” said Ms. Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, Vice Chairman, President, and CEO of HARI.
“Fairthron’s continued investment reflects its commitment to serving commuters along the SM Fairview-SM North route. At HARI, we recognize the importance of providing transport cooperatives with dependable mobility solutions that support their operational growth and contribute to a more efficient, accessible, and modern public transportation system in the Philippines.” Ms. Perez-Agudo concluded.
