With styling that harks back to the D21 Hardbody (or Power Eagle in the Philippines), the Navara Pro PHEV aims to capture Nissan’s pickup truck legacy while essentially future-proofing it. In that regard, it brings back the three-slot horizontal louvers (aka mail slots) now imagined as a lightbar and, of course, the V-Motion grille. Features include 18-inch alloy wheels with fender light accents, a power running board, power cargo box with retracting rear step, power tonneau cover, and rear doors that open 90 degrees.

Measuring in at 5,494 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,945 mm in height (3,300 mm wheelbase) it is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in its class. Despite being electrified, Nissan engineered the Navara Pro PHEV to be a formidable and capable off-roader and its specification shows that with its 700 mm water wading depth, 232 mm ground clearance, and 30-degree and 20-degree approach and departure angles.

Powering the Navara Pro PHEV is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder and permanent magnet synchronous motor combination. In total, it makes around 355 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. A 20.24 lithium-ion NMC battery contributes to an all-electric range of 75 kilometers and a combined range of more than a thousand kilometers (thanks to a 67-liter tank). This is paired to a 4-speed dedicated hybrid transmission with intelligent 4WD (with low range) and an electronic rear locking differential. It also comes with four drive modes: HEV, EV, Performance, and Snow.

Inside, it comes with a 10-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central display, power adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation for the driver’s seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Focal sound system. Beyond these features, Nissan has also made sure it’s comfortable and convenient thanks to a dual zone climate control and leather seats with a rear bench that flips up revealing a removable under seat storage box and seatbacks that collapse to accommodate bulky items.

The Nissan Navara Pro PHEV comes in four colors: Pearl White, Stardust Metallic Gray, Obsidian Black Pearl, and Retro Yellow Pearl and in two variants:
