Ford Philippines Sales Rise 61 Percent in Record First Half Performance

Ford Philippines today reports an all-time best first half performance with retail sales rising 61 percent through June, led by strong customer demand for the Ranger pickup, and record first half sales from the Everest and EcoSport SUVs.

Ford also delivered its best-ever June performance as sales rose 50 percent to 2,808 units, helping Ford remain one of the fastest growing auto brands in the country this year.

“Consumer confidence and discretionary spending continue to be fairly strong, and our full lineup of Ford vehicles is helping attract a wide range of Filipino customers to our showrooms across the country,” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines.

The all-new Everest mid-sized SUV remained Ford’s best-selling nameplate in the Philippines in June, delivering retail sales of 1,054 units. First half sales for the Everest totaled 6,961 units, as its striking design, advanced connectivity, driver assistance technologies, and outstanding capability continue to set the benchmark for its segment.

The EcoSport compact SUV delivered its best monthly performance this year with June sales increasing 11 percent from 2015 to 852 units. The EcoSport also capped a record first half performance with sales increasing nearly 6 percent to 4,367 units.

The segment defining Ranger pickup truck contributed to the record first half performance with year-to-date sales of 3,972 units, including 629 units in June.

June sales of the premium Explorer SUV totaled 87 units, helping drive its first half sales up 5 percent to 552 units. Mustang also saw a solid month in June with delivery of 37 units, pushing its year-to-date total up 12 percent to 145 units.

    2. Agree! Change is coming in their after sales service from bad to worse. They are only after the sales figure. Typical short term business plan without regard to business relationships!

  2. Why is it in every Ford Philippines sales news, the Ford Focus and Expedition are excluded from the sales increase?

    1. Even the Escape is not mentioned. Maybe no one buys them?

    2. They only highlight the vehicles that sell in high (growing) numbers which contribute to their growth.
They usually skip models that average below 50 units a month, except for its halo car, the Mustang.

  4. Truly Ford service is very bad. Ford service crew lack analytical thinking. As a customer, i dont even know if they performed the maintenance operation or not. Ive been ford casa customer for a long time and found out the crews are very far from being an expert and professional.

    1. Chevrolet's service is just as bad, if not even worse. Yet you keep saying like their cars are the best f'ing thing in the world. Hypocrite much?

    2. I agree Chevrolet service sucks but on the other hand the COLORADO's DURAMAX Engine Rocks!!! It makes fun of the boyish engines of the Hilux, Estrada, Mux, Navarra and Wiltrak !

    3. But when your chevrolet breaks down, those you mentioned will be the one making fun of your pick up.

    6. My brother's BMW was repaired twice in five years due to transmisson problems. My ferrari and lamborghini haven't had any repairs. Italians win. Oh and since we're all anonymous here, everything we say must be true right? It's on the internet so it must be true?

    7. The 2.8 DURAMAX Engine is the most powerful in the PPV category. Even the Ford Everest 3.2 engine lags behind by 30Nm of torque. The Hilux is even weaker by 30Hp & 100Nm of power and torque. The Strada and Navarra small displacement engines are weaklings while Mux is the last honor in the class. Chevy's DURAMAX Engine is without any doubt the most powerful and simply overwhelming. 100kph acceleration in less than 9 secs is unmatched. Nowhere in the near future the rest could come up with a catch-up. Today Chevy is the way to go because "GM makes it DURAMAX " !!!

    8. "The reason why america is the the most powerful nation on earth is because of their know how and technology !"
--- i wonder why your "most powerful nation" cant get their act together with their Ford PH dealerships in terms of service quality......

  5. Top sales for the Ranger Wildtrak but never a top performer on the road surface. I've seen a lot of Wildtrak on the road but proven they are not really wild. Their tail cowers under their balls like a running dog when a DURAMAX COLORADO lurks behind them !

But for baklain like u, maybe a makeup inside your subaru is more important!

    3. Doomsday? Are you crazy? Kita mo naman sa facebook na malulunod din yang mga yan sa baha diba? Mas baklain ka kasi takot ka sa doomsday, kailangan mo pa ng pick up. A real man doesn't rely on technology. Hypocrite ka talaga.

    1. During a meeting/interview with Top Gear Ph, Lance Mosley Ford's Managing Director (he just started this year) said he will improve Ford's after-sales service and wants to keep customers for life. He wants them to be loyal to the brand, he's also interested in finding out who has the best after-sales service and learn from them.
Looks like Change is coming (to Ford's dealership/service centers)

    2. I just wonder that Toyota doesn't advertise their units sold and yet they are resilient. Also, no all-in promos for the all-new Fortuner and Hilux. Unlike the Ford where in their strategy is all-in downpayment of Php 150K for the Everest and Php 90K for the Ranger but there is a doubt. I hope Ford should expand their dealership (service centre), I think this will be the first step to at least inch closer to Mitsubishi or even Toyota.
