Volkswagen Philippines Updates Caddy MPV for 2018 (w/ Specs)

Volkswagen Philippines has just refreshed its Caddy MPV for 2018. Introduced to the Philippine market 2 years ago, the safe and versatile 7-seater gets a refreshed styling, a new engine, and a price that actually makes it cheaper than the Toyota Innova. Yes, you read that right.

The 2018 Caddy is available in two variants: Comfortline (CL) and Sportline (SL). Both are equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct injection (TDI) diesel engine that replaces the old 2.0-liter TDI. It generates a healthy 102 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Both models are equipped solely with a 7-speed Direct Shift Gear or DSG gearbox with cruise control.

Both 2018 Caddy variants feature front fog lights and power folding mirrors. The SL variant is differentiated by its larger 17-inch Madrid alloy wheels, body-colored side moldings with chrome inserts, smoked rear lamp covers, and silver roof rails.

Inside, both models offer impeccable flexibility and generous cargo space for its size. They come standard with a leather steering wheel, a touchscreen audio system with 6 speakers and Bluetooth hands-free. The SL tops that with a special Fontana Red Surface highlight on the dashboard.

The Caddy comes complete with 6 airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic stability control, hill hold assist, flat tire indicator, and an engine immobilizer. The SL goes further with a driver attention alert system.

The most interesting bit is the price. The 2018 Caddy CL comes in at P 1,430,000 while the 2018 Caddy SL is priced at P 1,480,000. This actually makes this MPV more affordable than the top-range Innova 2.8 V.

The 2018 Caddy is now available at all Volkswagen dealerships nationwide in the following colors: Candy White, Deep Black Pearl (CL only), Chestnut Brown (CL only), and Fortuna Red (SL only).
