Mitsubishi Motors PH Achieves 30 Percent Growth in December; Cements 2nd Spot in Annual Sales


Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) finished 2020 strong with a 30 percent increase in retail sales last December. The number two automotive brand in the country raked in a total of 4,195 unit sales to close the year.

Spearheading the charge was the Mitsubishi Xpander. The number 1 selling 7-seater MPV generated a total of 1,472 unit sales, a 57 percent improvement versus its November performance. Following in second is their mid-sized 7-seater SUV, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport with 957 units sold. The proudly Filipino made Mirage G4 came in 3rd with 911 units.

Interesting to note is that the iconic Mitsubishi Pajero also flexed its muscle, selling 47 units, a 147 percent increase compared to its previous month. The dependable workhorse Mitsubishi L300 also reflected a strong showing with 478 units sold, resulting to a 30 percent growth.
