Would You Pay P 40k For Crack-Resistant Windshields On Your Jeep Wrangler Or Gladiator?

Jeep, through its Jeep Performance Parts by Mopar is now offering replacement crack-resistant windshields for the Wrangler (JL) and Gladiator (JT) models.

With the help of Corning Gorilla Glass, these replacement windshields can prevent windshield damage from happening be it on the trail or a daily commute.

The new JPP windshield made with Corning Gorilla Glass uses the same chemical-strengthening technology as smartphone screens. The combination of an ultra-thin Gorilla Glass inner ply with a 52 percent thicker outer ply makes this windshield lightweight and durable, offering superior resistance to chips, cracks, and fractures from stones and off-road debris that hard-core Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator owners are likely to encounter.

For now, the Jeep windshields imbued with Gorilla Glass technology is only available for the standard Wrangler and Gladiator. Later on, this will also offer windshield replacement offerings for models equipped with a forward-facing camera and/or an embedded antenna.

In partnership with Corning, Jeep was the first to launch a mass-market windshield replacement program for an OEM when patented Gorilla Glass became available for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) models in 2018.

Naturally, the Gorilla Glass windshields don’t come cheap. They start at US$ 793 (P 39,706) to US$ 932 (P 46,666).
