2023 Range Rover Sport Revealed; Philippines To Get Diesel, Gas Plug-In Powertrains

The 2023 Range Rover Sport has finally been revealed. The all-new, third-generation model aims to become Land Rover’s luxury performance SUV flagship bringing not just desirability and capability, but technology and imposing road presence as well.

Riding on the MLA-Flex architecture shared with the recently launched Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport will bring with it a fresh new line of engines including two six-cylinder plug-in hybrids, and a pure-electric variant.

For the Philippine market, the range consists of one diesel: a 300-horsepower (D300) and the 440-horsepower gas plug-in hybrid (P440e).

A suite of technologies governed by Land Rover’s Integrated Chassis Control system work in harmony to provide improved responses and agility. A new “Stormer Handling Pack” provides not just electronic active differential with torque vectoring, but all-wheel steering as well. The Dynamic Response Pro joins in as an active roll control system, while Dynamic Air Suspension is fitted into the Range Rover Sport as standard for the first time.

Like the Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport embraces a modernist approach to its overall design. It has uncluttered and flushed surfaces, including flush-mounted door handles. Wheel sizes grow up to 23 inches, while distinctive touches including Satin Burnished Copper detail and Matte Graphite lettering is available.

Inside, the strictly five-seater Range Rover Sport has a 13.1-inch curved display touchscreen on the center stack. Land Rover says that 90 percent of tasks can be done with just two taps on the screen. Voice controls and dedicated buttons supplement the touchscreen commands. SOTA or Software Over The Air keeps the Range Rover Sport’s system up-to-date, and thus, comes with a complimentary one-year data plan for the Philippines.

Key features include 12-way leather seats (up to 22 in the Autobiography trim), an advanced cabin purification system (Cabin Air Purification Pro), and a Meridian Signature Sound System with up to 29 speakers, including four located in the headrests.

Land Rover Philippines has already opened its configuration page for the all-new Range Rover Sport. They are officially bringing in the SE and Dynamic SE variants only.
