Subaru Forester GT Edition Returns For 2023 Model Year (w/ Video)

Aside from the regional debut of the all-electric Solterra EV, Motor Image brings back the Forester GT Edition for the 2023 model year.

Also making its regional debut at the Singapore Motor Show, the 2023 Forester GT Edition is the latest work by former Subaru designer, Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi and the renowned Japanese engineering company, Giken Co. Ltd.

The 2023 Forester GT Edition gives the compact SUV a more dynamic look with its aero-honed front and rear lip extensions, side skirts, and roof spoiler. Striking 18-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior enhancements.

Inside the cabin, the Forester GT Edition gets diamond-quilted designer leather seats inspired by European grand tourers. Adding even more exclusivity, the seats come embossed with the GT Edition logo at the sides.

Like other Forester models, the Forester GT Edition comes equipped with Subaru’s most sophisticated driver assist safety system to date: EyeSight 4.0.

For the Singapore market, the Forester GT Edition is available in both 2.0i-L EyeSight and e-Boxer 2.0i-S EyeSight Hybrid variants.

The latter pairs Subaru’s horizontally-opposed Boxer engine with an electric motor and a high-voltage battery. With e-Boxer, it offers smoother handling, more responsive acceleration, and enhanced efficiency.

“We are starting this Singapore Motorshow on the right gear with a celebration of Subaru’s multiple firsts. Firstly, with the launch of the stunning GT Edition of Subaru’s well-loved Forester. Also, making its first ASEAN debut is Subaru’s first EV—the Go-Anywhere SUV, Solterra. So, get ready to ignite your senses with what the Subaru brand has to offer,” said Mr. Glenn Tan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Tan Chong International Limited, the parent company of Motor Image.

For the Philippine market, the Forester GT Edition will likely make its debut at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show in April.
