Subaru Previews Sportier 2024 Crosstrek GT Edition

Motor Image is expanding the GT Edition line with the preview of the Crosstrek GT Edition. Once an exclusive variant for the Forester, the GT Edition expands to the Crosstrek as well. It will come to the Philippines by March or April, likely with a reveal at the Manila International Auto Show 2024.

Designed by former Subaru Chief Designer (Head of Global Advanced Design Studio), Mr. Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi—the same man responsible for various Subaru models including the VA WRX STI, the Crosstrek GT Edition adds sportiness to the otherwise rugged and practical compact crossover.

The Crosstrek GT Edition adds new design elements to the Crosstrek without compromising things like ground clearance. The special GT Edition has four integral elements: a front bumper extension, corner canards, side skirts, roof spoiler, and rear bumper extension. These are then complemented by a set of two-tone machine-cut 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the leather seats receive GT Edition embossments along with gray inserts and red piping.

The overall design is made to match Motor Image’s in-depth understanding of its markets. Together with Japanese company Giken, which is responsible for the parts’ manufacture, the Crosstrek GT Edition is a worthy addition to Subaru’s compact crossover.

No pricing has been revealed for the Crosstrek GT Edition, but if the Forester GT Edition is used as basis, expect it to command a P 130,000 premium. This puts the Crosstrek GT Edition at around P 2,148,000 once it launches in Manila.

  1. Whats with the front bumper?. Subaru just made the car more heavier with those overkill ornaments

  2. Front bumper lower-lip looks redundant
