ACMobility To Put EV Charging Points At 50 Shell Service Stations, More To Follow

With ACMobility committed to deploying more than 2,500 charging points nationwide as part of the “Philippine EV Spine,” a key partner has signed up with Shell Pilipinas Corporation committed to helping fuel the expansion.

Shell’s vast network of service stations is key to this initiative as many of these are typically along well-travelled routes where EV owners would want to recharge their vehicles. The initial rollout will cover 50 Shell service stations, with over 100 charging points or two per station. The first 20 sites will come online in Q4 2025 at select stations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The remaining 30 will be completed in 2026.

Each station will feature DC fast chargers ranging from 60 to 120kW to ensure fast charging times so motorists can quickly get back on the road. These charging stations will be accessible through the Evro app, which is the first and largest e-mobility service provider and partner of ACMobility. Aside from functioning as a mobile wallet to pay for charging, the app allows users to see the nearest charging stations, as well as which ones are online or offline. The app also monitors the state of charge so users can be notified when it’s time to go back to their vehicle.

According to Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility, “Shell is one of the most trusted service providers for motorists, with sites in key areas nationwide. ACMobility is pleased to welcome Shell as a partner in delivering the Philippine EV Spine Network. Beyond expanding infrastructure, this collaboration supports the growing EV community and strengthens the country’s transition to sustainable mobility.”

The addition of Shell service stations to the EV charging network adds further momentum to the Philippine EV Spine, which is already making rapid progress in cities such as Makati, Taguig, and Cebu. No doubt it will also encourage new car customers to shift to electric as range anxiety will soon be a non-issue.
