Nepo babies turned beauty vloggers, rejoice: there’s a one-of-a-kind Lexus made just for you. Check out the Lexus Glam LX.
Built for those rich people who treat getting ready as an experience all on its own, the Lexus Glam LX is outfitted with beauty and fashion-inspired necessities that transform the luxury SUV into a full-service glam suite.
Built in collaboration with Complete Customs, the Glam LX shines in a pearl symphony chameleon wrap with crystal-faceted badging and a stitched pink and white leather interior featuring luxe touches like plush mohair, silk and stone inlay accents.
The rear tailgate has been changed into a pair of French doors that open to a space with custom pullout chairs and twin Robern illuminated mirrors. A retractable privacy screen creates a private changing area, complemented by an LED-lit clothing rack and acrylic drawers for wardrobe and accessory storage.
Up front, passengers can enjoy quick polish changes at the on-the-go nail bar with UV/LED lighting. Meanwhile, VIP doors open to reveal a “professional-grade” backseat beauty station, complete with stone-inlay tray tables for product spread-outs, a halo-lit skylight for optimal lighting, and a custom full-width dropdown Robern illuminated mirror for precise makeup application.
The Lexus LX’s compartments have been repurposed to keep passengers’ essentials organized and protected. Hot tool holders, integrated power outlets, a refrigerated makeup console, and an LED-lit handbag storage compartment ensure beauty and styling items are always accessible on the go.
Despite the modifications, since it’s based off the Lexus LX, expect daddy DPWH contractors can still use it to check out his latest flood control sites.
In its top-of-the-line form, the LX 700h keeps the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and 10-speed automatic combo found in the LX 600. However, it now gets a parallel hybrid system that integrates a Motor Generator (MG) with a clutch positioned between the engine and gearbox. The combined output is rated at 457 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque.
Moreover, unlike other Lexus hybrids, the Lexus LX 700h is first model to have both an alternator and starter. In the event of a hybrid system failure, the starter enables independent engine ignition, while the alternator powers the 12-volt auxiliary battery. This allows it to continue driving using only the engine. Even in this emergency driving mode, essential features such as the transfer case’s low range, ride height adjustment, active height control, and active traction control all remain fully operational.
With the nickel metal hydride hybrid battery encased in a waterproof structure located in the rear floor, it ensures that the Lexus LX 700h has impressive water fording capability—up to 700 mm—which makes it the same as the conventional LX. In the unlikely event that water does enter the tray, a water sensor positioned inside will detect it and alert the driver through a meter display.
