Take A Look At The All-New Porsche Cayenne Electric's Screen Heavy Interior

With Porsche set to unveil the all-new Cayenne Electric later this year, the premium sportscar maker has taken the wraps off bit by bit, starting with the interior.

The all-new Cayenne Electric features a display/touchscreen heavy interior with a curved OLED display being the centerpiece. Called the Flow Display, this 14.9-inch display displays content related to navigation, driver assistance systems, and the infotainment all while providing a clear, unobstructed view of the gauges. There are five predefined color schemes available, but can be customized further with a dedicated Themes App.

Aside from Flow Display, the all-new Cayenne Electric also has an optional 14.9-inch passenger display as well as an augmented reality heads-up display for the first time. Projected on the windshield, the HUD has an effective screen size of 87 inches says Porsche. An AI-powered voice assistant also helps control certain vehicle functions in natural language (no need to repeat the prompt or activation word).

As for features, Porsche has confirmed that the Cayenne Electric will offer electrically-adjustable rear seats as standard; Mood Mode that orchestrates the light, climate, sound, and even seat functions to create distinctive atmospheres; a sliding panoramic glass roof (the largest ever fitted in a Porsche) with adjustable transparency; and an increased area for the heating (it now covers the armrests and even sections of the door panels).

The Cayenne Electric will be offered in 13 interior color combinations, as well as four interior packages and five accent packages including Magnesium Gray, Lavender, and Sage Gray leather and even leather-free options such as a Race-Tex interior with Pepita print textile.

    1. "...on the long run"

Screens are some of the easiest parts to replace. Not DIY obviously, but simple enough to fix.

  2. Why fix or remove the physical controls if it ain't broken? Don't remove the switches that pare physical especially on the air conditioning. There is a way to make it softsare-friendly even if it has physical controls. Those engineers should know that and do that.

    1. If you look at the pictures of the center console you'll see physical switches for the aircon. Happy?

  3. The screen heavy touchscreens - not only for Porsche; are so ridiculous!

  4. Not buying it, not enough screens. They should’ve made the windshield and windows screens too.

  5. Does Porsche really know what they're doing? What are those screens really for? More money for software related services?

    1. So many people questioning all the brands doing this. How about going to a car display at a mall and trying them out? Sometimes it makes more sense when you're in front of it.
