2026 is shaping up to be a busy year for Toyota Motor Philippines. Aside from having hybrid variants of its Land Cruiser 300 and the all-electric Urban Cruiser appearing on the Department of Energy (DOE)’s officially recognized electrified vehicles, the all-new sixth generation RAV4 has also made its appearance in the same list.
Launched globally last May, the all-new RAV4 appears with two variants for the Philippine market: the Limited (LTD) and the Adventure (ADV). The former carries the “RAV4 2.5 LTD HEV AWD CVT” designation, while the latter carries the “RAV4 2.5 ADV HEV AWD CVT” designation.
As their official variants suggest, the sixth-generation RAV4 will bring back standard all-wheel drive for the Philippine market. Confirmed in its government paperwork, the A25A-FXS combustion engine producing 186 horsepower (137 kW), while the AXA64L and ANXVB electric motor combo supplementing that with 136 horsepower (100 kW). Both have a 1.09-kWh battery. Globally, this powertrain packs a total of 240 horsepower.
Even more impressive, the all-wheel drive is purely electric. This E-Four system precisely controls front to rear driving force distribution between 100:0 and 20:80, achieving high levels of acceleration from start and cornering stability.
Although the full specs are hidden in Toyota Motor Philippines’ official SharePoint account, the preliminary documents have confirmed two distinct looks for the Philippine market.
The LTD features body-colored bumpers and a mesh grille joined by inner grille accents that create an advanced, three-dimensional look. The rear features a seamless design integrating the rear door window glass and lights, underscoring a wide and refined presence. On the other hand, the ADV offers a tough and rugged appearance which is achieved through a unique design featuring a high front nose peak and large wheel arch molding.
Inside, it’s all about functionality and user-friendliness. The center stack groups various functions together, like the touchscreen display, drive mode selection, and storage for a smartly organized space while the center console combines the shifter, cup holder with a removable divider, and arm rest/storage bin with a two-way closure.
Globally, the RAV4 comes with either a 10.5 or 12.9-inch touchscreen (the Philippines most likely getting the latter) gives the RAV4 a clean, modern feel. A 12.3-inch all-digital gauge cluster is provided for the driver with a heads-up display an option. The speaker count starts at six and goes up to nine for the JBL premium audio system.
In terms of safety, the 2026 RAV4 is the first one to receive Toyota Safety Sense 4.0. The new version of Toyota’s standard active safety suite will have updates to its hardware and detection capabilities. Functions include Front Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitors, Rear Vehicle Approach Indicator, Lane Change Assist that can be engaged with Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, Pre-Collision System, and Advanced Park function.
Of course, pricing and launching is still a closely guarded secret for now, but given the higher specs and standard all-wheel drive, expect the 2026 RAV4 to get a hefty bump in price. Expect it to be priced at around P 2.6- to P 2.8-million with the launch likely happening before the middle of the year.

DeleteNot a big seller here but in the US it sells close to 500k units yearly. Very important model for Toyota. Hopefully they price it well from the start instead of giving away huge discounts if it is not selling well
