This is it. Toyota unveils the all-new, sixth-generation RAV4. Building on the trailblazing attitude of its predecessors, it introduces new advanced technologies along with improved performance and efficiency.
The all-new RAV4 has a robust new exterior style which reflects its authentic SUV spirit, underlined by a striking, tough new model logo. The strong front design and dynamic silhouette express robust off-road credentials and a true RAV4 identity, whilst retaining similar dimensions to its predecessor. Inside, a redesigned cabin encourages confident, intuitive driving whilst giving all passengers a sense of space and refined, premium comfort.
Inside, it’s all about functionality and user-friendliness. The center stack groups various functions together, like the touchscreen display, drive mode selection, and storage for a smartly organized space while the center console combines the shifter, cup holder with a removable divider, and arm rest/storage bin with a two-way closure. A shift-by-wire system is available for the first time.
A 10.5 or 12.9-inch touchscreen gives the RAV4 a clean, modern feel. A 12.3-inch all-digital gauge cluster is provided for the driver with a heads-up display an option. The speaker count starts at six and goes up to nine for the JBL premium audio system.
The 2026 RAV4 is the first one to receive Toyota Safety Sense 4.0. The new version of Toyota’s standard active safety suite will have updates to its hardware and detection capabilities. Functions include Front Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitors, Rear Vehicle Approach Indicator, Lane Change Assist that can be engaged with Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, Pre-Collision System, and Advanced Park function.
The latest hybrid technology is at the heart of the all-new RAV4, reaching its next level with the Toyota’s newly developed next generation hybrid and plug-in hybrid system.
The HEV variant comes with a fifth-generation 2.5-liter 4-cylinder making 226 horsepower for the front-wheel drive and 236 horsepower for the HEV all-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the PHEV now comes with an option of front-wheel drive variant for the first time with 304 horsepower. The PHEV all-wheel drive comes with 320 horsepower.
The PHEV gets a new high-capacity 22.7 kWh lithium-ion battery offering an all-electric range of 100 kilometers. 0 to 100 km/h comes in just 5.8 seconds, while a 10 to 80 percent charge can be done in just 30 minutes thanks to an on-board 11-kW AC charger.
For the first time, the RAV4 gets a GR Sport variant. It gets a bespoke suspension setup with a 20 mm wider tread. It also comes with high-performance shocks and a strengthened rear suspension brace. Capping the changes is a re-tuned steering system, suspension, and 20-inch wheels.
The 2026 RAV4 starts deliveries in global markets towards the end of this year.
Love the new look of the regular one, hate the whale shark mouth on the sport.
ReplyDeleteSadly, physical buttons and knobs for climate are gone. Always expected toyota honda and especially mazda to be immune to this digitalization of controls, oh well.
Physical button for climate near the shifter
DeleteI believe it has physical AC buttons beside the volume knob.
DeleteThey arent, the climate has gone digital, everyone reported it.
DeleteNah, I prefer the GR Sport Rav4.
DeleteThere are physical buttons with blue and red for both driver and passenger. I believe those buttons are to control the temperature.
DeleteStarting price of these new rav4s will def. be above 2M since all are hyrbrids
ReplyDeleteThey currently already are. Hopefully we will get the same tariff treatment so the price increase is manageable. Cue everyone laughing. Who am I kidding? Look at how much more expensive the new Camry is priced versus the old one.
DeleteMost likely only available in one variant only which is the XLE 2WD and they'll price it at 2.5 Million Pesos or more
DeleteRav4 never sold well in the ph, but in the US it sold over half a million units
ReplyDeleteToyota PH will then just do the bare minimum and bring like 1 trim here.
DeleteThe coolray has all these exterior design cues from 3 years back.
ReplyDeleteHahaha oh my god these people crack me up.
DeleteNice subaru
ReplyDeleteAlways the best in reliability and durability, and now has the best all around good looks.
ReplyDeleteWill it come with Apple CarPlay Ultra?
ReplyDeleteIs the Arene software already available?
ReplyDeleteThe grand daddy of the sporty crossovers has evolved. Others are just mere followers
ReplyDeleteSuzuki Escudo/Vitara and its sister SUV which is the Suzuki X90 are way more older than the Toyota RAV4
DeleteThe grand daddy of crossovers has evolved - it has become a grand mommy. It has lost its masculinity looks and ruggedness. Others has overtaken its design.
