The 2025 Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) Miata Spec Series kicked off at the first leg of the Mazda Fan Festa PH 2025. Among the enhancements introduced this year is a new tire from GT Radial, the Champiro SX-R.
Replacing the Champiro SX2, the Champiro SX-R is GT Radial’s next-generation ultra high-performance tire designed with special Formula Racing Technology. The Champiro SX-R features a wider shoulder block for enhanced cornering grip and a wider center rib for enhanced straight-line performance. Its asymmetric tread pattern and high styrene racing compound helps it deliver consistent high performance even during elevated temperatures making it a perfect match to Mazda’s rear-wheel drive sportscar.
For the MSCC Miata Spec Series, all racers run the 215/45R17 Champiro SX-R mounted on Concept One light alloy wheels.
Since 2021, Northern Automax and GT Radial have been steadfast supporters of the MSCC Miata Spec Series.
“The GT Radial Champiro SXR is crafted to meet the needs of racing enthusiasts, hobbyists, and everyday drivers who crave ultra-high performance and reliability both on the race circuit and the street,” says Mr. Mannix Ocampo, Director for Sales & Marketing for Northern Automax (GT Radial Philippines).
The next legs of the MSCC Miata Spec Series will coincide with the remaining legs of the 2025 Mazda Fan Festa PH all happening at the Clark International Speedway.
