JMC Philippines Opens Reservations On P 660K All-Electric EV2 And P 780K EV3

Following teasers that started last February, Astra-backed JMC Philippines is now accepting reservations for its two battery electric vehicles: the JMEV EV2 and the JMEV EV3.

The JMEV EV2 is powered by a modest 35 horsepower (26 kW), 84 Nm electric motor. Yet, it’s still capable of reaching speeds up to 105 km/h. The 15.86 kWh battery, meanwhile, provides a 201-kilometer range.

Measuring just 3.5 meters in length and featuring a five-meter turning radius with 110 mm ground clearance, the EV2 is built for urban areas. Inside, it accommodates four passengers with PVC leather seats, 14 storage compartments, and a 105-liter trunk.

On the other hand, the JMEV EV3 offers a more spacious and advanced (by comparison) driving experience. The single electric motor outputs 68 horsepower (50 kW) and 125 Nm of torque. Top speed is rated at 115 km/h. Its 31.15 kWh battery supports a maximum range of 330 kilometers.

The cabin offers a touchscreen infotainment system and 177 liters of cargo space. Safety features include dual SRS airbags and an ABS-equipped braking system.

While official pricing is yet to be finalized, JMC Philippines estimates the JMEV EV2 to fall between P 660,000 to P 680,000, and the JMEV EV3 between P 780,000 to P 800,000.

    1. Probably, when you buy one, just think that there will be zero resale value. Do you math from there.

    2. These vehicles are very affordable. Most people can afford it. The initial poster probably can afford it but the question is, will he/she buy it? The key question that person is concerned about is the warranty period. How long will the warranty be?

  7. Don't buy if you are bias and don't know anything about nev or bev. Buy what you want. Simple as that, you don't need to say unproven negative remarks.
