The recently-launched EX5, Geely’s next-generation EV SUV, has been honored with a Red Dot Award in the Product Design category. The recognition affirms Geely’s expertise in electric vehicle design and innovation.
Established in 1955, the German Red Dot Design Award is one of the most influential honors in the global design community, attracting tens of thousands of entries worldwide each year.
Created in-house by Geely Design, the EX5 has already garnered a collection of international design accolades including the A’ Design Award, IDA International Design Gold Award, and the MUSE Platinum Award.
As Geely Auto’s first electric vehicle crafted for global markets, the Geely EX5 blends the graceful curves of Chinese porcelain with dynamic and modern automotive lines. Meanwhile, the interior embodies a philosophy of refined comfort with its ergonomic armrest design and meticulously crafted seat details.
Geely has established four design centers in Shanghai, China; Gothenburg, Sweden; Coventry, UK; and Milan, Italy with a collective creative network of more than 1,000 design professionals.
It’s already a flop, locally at least. I haven’t seen a single Geely EX5 on the road. Contrast to that, I’ve already seen more than 10 Tesla Model Y Junipers in various colors.
ReplyDeleteUnits of EX5 aren't locally available yet you fool
DeletePeople buy Tesla as they believe its a luxury EV brand which in reality isn't 🤣
People buy tesla because of its quality and reputation, miles prestigous than byd. People buy byd because its cheap, engineering quality not good.
DeleteTesla buyers are meticulous buyers, not easily swayed by hype and cheap prices.
DeleteLOL, you fool! They're moving way too slow for a brand that's in crisis locally.
DeleteIf the EX5 is really a huge hit locally, Geely would be touting the reservation numbers of the EX5 you fool! They even extended the 110k discount promo for the EX5 due to lack of interest you fool!
DeleteQuality of Tesla vehicles are awful
DeleteThey're like the Stellantis and Ford of EVs
There's nothing prestigious in it
There's only ONE service center of Tesla in the Philippines and they don't stock parts of their vehicles
Lol. You’re showing everyone how little you actually know. Tesla has many accredited service centers in the Philippines, you’d be surprised.
DeleteMiles better than byd atto 3
ReplyDeleteSpecswise, absolutely, but BYD trounces Geely where it matters most in car sales: Purchasing Experience. Go to any BYD casa and you’ll be able to see and test drive a BYD on the spot. Go to a Geely casa, which is becoming a rare sight these days, and you’ll be lucky to even see the EX5 in the metal, a test drive is pretty much impossible. Also, the product knowledge of the agents are vastly different. BYD agents pretty much know all the basic questions EV buyers will ask them, Geely agents are severely lacking in this area to the point that they don’t even know the basic specs of their sole EV offering. This was my experience when I went to a Geely casa to check the EX5 about 3 months ago. I was able to check the car, but I wasn’t able to get a test drive then. Even to this day, I still haven’t been contacted by the Geely agent for said test drive. To sum it up, I’ve already lost interest and Geely lost a potential sale.
DeleteConsider yourself lucky, you just dodged a bullet!
DeleteGeely EX5 is miles better than the aging vanilla Atto 3
ReplyDeleteIt's popular in Malaysia now as a Proton eMas 7 vehicle
There's a PHEV version of the Geely EX5 which is the Starlight 7 which is way much better than the old vanilla Sealion 6 PHEV
You can have the greatest product for sale, but you won’t move a lot of units if the customer experience is subpar. It just goes to show that Geely hasn’t learned a thing from its previous distributor. This is already Geely’s third attempt at our market and they’re still failing miserably.
ReplyDeleteGuys, this thread should be for everyone to to share their knowledge and experience on the subject matter, and relevant matters for the benefit of the readers.
ReplyDeleteLabelling someone or calling one names like idiots, fanboys, fools, etc., only results in antagonism and hinders the proper exchange and acquisition of knowledge, facts, opinions, etc.
