After launching the J5 SHS-H at the Manila International Auto Show, Omoda Jaecoo Philippines follows it up with the launch of the all-electric version at the Philippine International Motor Show. The Jaecoo J5 EV continues the Chinese brand’s momentum of expanding its electrified vehicle offerings in the country.
Open for pre-orders with an indicative price of P 1.4-million, the Jaecoo J5 EV offers a balance of performance, efficiency, and intelligent safety.
Measuring in at 4,380 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, it’s sized like a sub-compact SUV. That said, its wheelbase, at 2,620 mm, is generous for its footprint. Moreover, despite being an EV, it has competent off-roading specs such as 20-degree approach, 29.8-degree departure angle, and a 184 mm ground clearance. Its water wading depth is rated at 450 mm.
The sole front-mounted electric motor produces 208 horsepower and thanks to a CATL LFP 58.9-kWh battery, it offers a driving range of 461 kilometers. Peak DC charging rate reaches 130 kWh enough for a 30-80 percent charge time of 28 minutes.
Among the standard features of the J5 EV include LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, leather seats, a 6-way power adjust driver’s seat, a 13.2-inch center LCD display, wireless charging, 19 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 6 SRS airbags, and a 540-degree all-terrain view camera.
To further strengthen customer confidence in its electrified products, Omoda Jaecoo Philippines is providing a comprehensive warranty package that includes a 7-year or 200,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper vehicle warranty (whichever comes first), as well as an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer battery and electric motor warranty (whichever comes first).
