Although still mechanically the same as the run-of-the-mill Prelude, the Prelude Limited Edition does sport a new colorway: Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic. It’s a brand-new color made to catch and accentuate the Prelude’s “fluidic contours.” It also swaps out the blue bumper accents to red; ditto with the Brembo brake calipers. The final exterior change is in the form of 19-inch black cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the Prelude Limited Edition gets plenty more Bordeaux accents. This is found on the steering wheel, center console, and dashboard. This new detail even extends to the front seats and door lining pad. It also gets red accented floor mats too. A Prelude logo is also embroidered on the dashboard leaving the impression that each has been (but not) hand signed.

The original Prelude made its debut nearly 50 years ago and has always been a thrilling, high-performance showcase for the latest developments in Honda’s innovative technology. Honda thinks the latest one delivers on that front—blending style, sophistication, and a hybrid powertrain.

With Europe now getting the Prelude Limited Edition as well, and in left-hand drive no less, this increases the chances of actually seeing this sports coupe reach markets such as the Philippines. However, with a local sticker price of P 3,498,000, expect this one to command a hefty premium if does arrive here.
