Foton Philippines Sets Back-to-Back Outreach Programs for 2016

Supporting the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2016, Foton Philippines fortified its Foton Total Care program in a back-to-back reconstruction and clean-up drive at Andres Mariano Elementary School in Bagbaguin, Valenzuela and Pacondo Elementary School in Angeles, Pampanga last June 4 and 6, 2016 respectively.

Employees and executives of the automotive brand extended their helping hands for the improvement of their adopted institutions particularly the classrooms which were badly needed to be mended for the incoming students to have a safe and inviting learning environment.

From the gutters and classroom walls to blackboards, tables and chairs, hand in hand, the Foton team facilitated the repair and repainting.

“To be given a chance to help the students of two schools is something that we are grateful for because through our team’s assistance, we were able to touch their lives, we were able to make their second home a better place.” says Foton Philippines VP for HRAD Ms. Mary Ann Zacarias.

For three consecutive years, the spirit of volunteerism, unity and perseverance in Brigada Eskwela has been practiced by Foton Philippines.

On the other hand, for the second time in the Foton Total Care advocacy, Foton Philippines also conducted Oplan Balik Eskwela 2016 – an internal program wherein the company gave school supplies serving as an educational aid to their employees’ children in primary school.

“It’s not merely helping out because we want to fulfil our corporate social responsibility. It’s sending out our participation because we want to and we value the Filipino children’s education.” adds Ms. Zacarias.

The positive results of Foton Total Care – the physical improvement of Andres Mariano Elementary School and Pacondo Elementary School, the open-handedness of the volunteers plus the relief through the granted support to its valued employees – are sources of great pride for Foton Philippines.
