PIMS 2016: BMW to Celebrate Centenary with Two Special Edition Cars


It may have been a bummer knowing BMW Philippines has no plans of selling the i8 sports car, there are two special edition cars which are available for sale. Celebrating 100 years of BMW, BMW Philippines showing off the 100 Years Edition of the 4 Series Coupe M Sport and X4 M Sport at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

The 4 Series Coupe M Sport 100 Years Edition features the M Sport Package Exterior: M Sport Suspension, M Aerodynamics package, High-Gloss Shadow Line; M Sport Package Interior: Sport Seats, M Leather Steering Wheel, Leather Dakota Seats in Ivory White; 20-inch Light Alloy Wheels Double Spoke Style 361 in Ferric Grey color; BMW M Performance Front Grille; Exterior Mirror Caps in Carbon Finish; BMW M Performance Rear Spoiler in Carbon Finish; and BMW M Performance Front Spoiler in Carbon Finish.

Meanwhile the X4 M Sport 100 Years Edition has: M Sport Package Exterior: M Sport Suspension, M Aerodynamics package, High-Gloss Shadow Line; M Sport Package Interior: Sport Seats, M Leather Steering Wheel, Leather Nevada Seats in Coral Red; 20-inch Light Alloy Wheels Y-Spoke Style 542 Bicolor BMW M Performance Front Grille; and Exterior Mirror Caps in Carbon.

  1. The PH government should reduce the tax on cars. And BMW, Audi, and the others should reduce the cost of ownership and increase the warranty period. 2 years warranty for a multi million car, seriously?

    1. The first point depends on the government.....but the second point regarding about reducing the cost of ownership might not be possible because of the premium position that these Big 3 German luxury car brands enjoy. Parts and labor will always be expensive. Then for the second point, the warranty for BMW Philippines is 2 years BUT Unlimited Mileage within the said two-year period. Hence this is similar to what most Eurocar owners in the PH do:
      They drive a lot of mileage within that period.

      Also BMW, Audi and MB are premium manufacturers, they are not mass-market. It is more about uniqueness and exclusivity and less about massive sales volumes that will dilute their brand equity.
