Mitsubishi Motors PH Undercuts Fortuner, Everest with Revised Montero Sport 4WD Pricing

After beating around the bush with cash discounts and other promotions, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has made it official: the 2021 Montero Sport GT 4WD’s suggested retail price is now lower.

When it first launched, the Montero Sport GT 4WD was lauded for being a fully-loaded 7-seater SUV. Not only did it come with a full suite of driver assist, but it was the only model you could control via a smartphone app (Mitsubishi Remote Control).

Of course, fully loading the SUV meant an equally fully-loaded price tag. At P 2,450,000, it was the most expensive pickup-based passenger vehicle (PPV) you could buy.

Well, not anymore.

Along with the price reduction of the Montero Sport’s 2WD variants last February, Mitsubishi is making official the Montero Sport GT 4WD’s new price. At P 2,298,000, it’s P 152,000 cheaper than before. More importantly, it’s more affordable than two of its chief rivals, the Toyota Fortuner 2.8 LTD 4x4 and the Ford Everest 2.0 Bi-Turbo Titanium+ 4x4.

Will this breathe new life to Montero Sport sales?
